Anyone else get the wrong SA results??

We were told Tuesday that DH had "only 1 or 2 sperm in the whole sample" then yesterday a message saying "your husband's SA was good, but a little on the low side" so now I am waiting for a call back to clear things up. Anyone else have this experience and what happened?

Hey hun. Try not to worry too much at this point. Our FS told us results can vary from day to day and clinics even vary on how they report the results.

My DH first sample showed his mobility was under the acceptable threshold and this was repeated a month or so ago and was fine more than fine actually.

Ask the clinic for a complete breakdown of his SA and also ask what they use as the threshold for each

my dh had a sperm test in june....we phoned the doc 4 the results...the receptionist said all was normal and 'no further action required'. i was having many tests done as i was having slight bleeding after sex, had cervix erosion test, scans of womb...the scans showed polycysts on right ovary....i was referred to a fs and did bloodtests to see i i was ovulating til our appointment with the fs came through.....finally the day came to see fs...(august 27th) she said docs had got it wrong!!! dh sperm was very bad and said 'no wonder you havent conceived yet!!' he was told to go on vits and had a re test at end of sept and its really improved thank god...our fs said that the spermies are finally swimming and the count has gone up by 4 million!

OMG - DRs are just rubbish aren't they!!!

I'm secretly hoping our S/A got mixed up though - or tested too late or something...
his've gone from 46% rapid progression to 0% !!!

can they really be this different from one sample to the next?

SA results change so much and a slight thing can affect results from it being taken for testing to late, to it being sat waiting for them to test to late.. i would defo advise another one!! Thats why i think they like a good few SA tests as they change so much!!

thats what we were told....we need to make sure he ejaculates at least every 3 days even when not in fertile period to keep the 'supplies' nice & fresh lol....xx

yeah - the urologist told us the same thing... every 3 days.
Just asked my man if he's been keeping up with stock replenishment but he flatly refuses to tell me!!!

dammit - might have to start giving him night-time hand-jobs just to be sure

What kind of Vits did they put your OH on? Mine already takes a men's multivitamin plus extra zinc, but would love to know if there's something else he should be taking.

hi...my dh takes fertile aid 4 men....dont think you can buy them in shops so i order them off the internet.....they seem to have done the trick, the only down side is they are quite expensive....think bout £25.00 for a mths worth.....have heard great things about wellman tablets which you can get from tesco ive heard....my friends dh sperm was poor, took them for 3 mths & now they are 8 weeks preg!! we are going to get some this weekend as dh has only a few fertile aid pills left now x
