Anyone else had this problem with hungrier baby formula?

I've recently changed my 6 month old son onto hungrier baby formula (cow & gate) I'm also weaning him, I switched his formula because as he's getting used to food, I thought his regular stage one cow & gate formula wouldn't fill him up, I give him his last bottle at night about 6. With stage one cow and gate he'd sleep from about 7 straight through till 8 the next morning, but with the hungrier baby formula he wakes up through the night wimpering. He just won't settle on it. He's been on it for about 2 weeks now. Has anyone else had a baby that prefers stage one formula at 6 months?

Thanks Nat x

Hi Nat, my hv told me that you don't need to change onto stage 2 milks as they will get all they need from stage 1 milks. However, for us we switched onto stage 2 and my DD was a lot happier as she was more full and felt satisfied.

I think, if your son, isn't settled on stage 2, to change him back onto stage 1 formula and see how he does on that and with his food.

Millie liked both but she's greedy lol. As RHR said if he is not happy on stage 2 put him back on stage 1 as he'll be having food which will help to fill him up more x

Yes my baby sleeps better on normal formula (5 hours) but on hungry baby formula he sleeps 3 hours

hungry baby formula contains a lot of casein (milk protein) so is very hard for some babies to digest; if he was fine on the normal cow and gate then I'd go back to that.

my baby sleeps better through hungrier milk the majority of the time about 6 hours, she wasnt like this on SMA1 lol

my lo is 7months now he had hungrier baby at night and slept through. we now have him on 6month+ milk like follow on and he has goodnight milk at night now... x
