Anyone else having dreams about giving birth and breastfeeding!

Last night I had the most weird and wonderful dream....it was utterly terrifying and equally comforting.

I dreampt that I was sleeping in my dream but being awoken by sharp cramps, The cramps worstened and woke me up, when I turned over onto my back, i felt and heard a pop and suddenly, when i looked down all this fluid, blood was coming out....

I screamed for my mom and my husband and they came running in....
the next thing i know, im feeling these immense need to push, when i look down i see a babys head poking out, my mom tells me that the baby is almost here, and I push and she slides out....

I grab her and hold her and i can see and feel the umbilical cord, I grab my nail scissors from the bedside table and cut the cord...

then my dream moves on, and im trying to breastfeed for the first time, im crying because i cant do it, but then my mom shows me how to present the nipple and my baby girl breastfeeds for the first time, i am then completely overcome with this immense feeling of love and feel myself smiling at my baby and become overwhelmed with a feeling of wanting to protect her...

my dream ends with me breastfeeding my baby!

Ive had dreams with babies before, but nothing ever like this, it felt completely real and different, realistic, and i fet like a mother when i woke up.

anyone else having these dreams?

ME!!!

OMG - you and I are only 1 day apart and last night I had a very similar dream, more about the breastfeeding than the labour. But so vivid, I woke up and actually thought there should be a baby in the house somewhere

I never dreamt of labor, but I DID constantly dream of taking the baby out, holding her and snuggling her, cord and all, and then reluctantly putting her back in because I knew she wasn't ready to be born yet...

totally weird. I dreamt that ALOT with my first.

I dreamt MIL gave the new baby a bottle. I stood up from across the room, ripped it from her hands and shouted a lot that no one was ever going to give this baby bottles and how dare she even think it was ok!!!

DD had loads of problems latching and I was forced to combi feed so I'm a bit sensitve on the subject.

I had a weird dream a couple of weeks ago about giving birth to triplets. I really don't think I'm carrying 3, though I've had enough dreams about 2 that I'm a bit worried.

Anyway, in the dream... I had a perfect birth, but I had three babies. One of them was unexpected, and she was... six weeks or so older than the other two (who seemed to be sex-less). It made perfect sense in the dream...

I woke up really thinking that I had four children in total.

I've had loads of twin dreams, so the fact that two of the triplets were identical didn't surprise me. I think the third "older" triplet was the baby I miscarried... because I've had dreams about that one, and its always a girl.

One of the twin dreams I had... like four nights ago... Was;
You know how when you're further on in the pregnancy, you can sometimes see the little hands and feet when they're getting pushed out against your stomach? Well in my dream, there were two little faces, four hands, four feet all poking out from my stomach and moving about like crazy. I woke up with horrible gas... apparently my body was interpreting middle-of-the-night gas as twin babies moving around.

...totally anxious for my ultrasound. I need the doctor to tell me there's only one. I'll be totally happy either way, of course, so long as it/they are healthy!

i havent gotten into a deep enough sleep since getting pregnant for me to dream normally i can sleep better in second tri but with only sleeping 2 hrs at a time at the moment then im not reaching dream state

The last couple of nights I have been dreaming of breast feeding this baby. I didn't bf my other 3, just wasn't emotionally ready for it, but this one I'm determined to do it!!

It's almost always the same dream, I'm in bed with the new baby, DH and the kids are upstairs, and we're having a moment, baby is bf'ing perfectly. Puts a smile on my face when I think about it.

Ha!!!! I do too... hubby thinks it's sooooo funny.

I dreamt last night the DH and I snuck into a neighbor's house to right on the stairs! We knew they were home, but it was the middle of the night so we figured they'd never know... but then the wife came out into the hall doing laundry, and we felt so stupid. She was like, "Yeah... I knew you were there..." and then mocked our ummm... noises....
She insisted that we had let her see us on purpose....and also insisted that she'd known DH was scoping her out for weeks... we felt totally stupid and kept apologizing...
too funny.

HAHAHAHA!!! How funny! I'd die of embarrassment in a dream like that!!

Yeah, I felt so dumb... it was one of those things where I was standing there stammering to her with excuses, and thinking to myself, "WHAT were we THINKING???"
No clue who the neighbor was.... just some made-up house with a made-up neighbor in my dream.
