My lo takes 6oz every 2/3 hours and I can NEVER burp her in between the feed. She is so strong and screams when you take the bottle out and sit her up or put her over shoulder, she pushes herself off my legs and it's just impossible lol. The only time I can get a burp is at the end of the feed. Is this ok for her to drink the whole bottle without a burp in between? She gulps it down so quick and you just can't take it away from her LOL!!!

Is she winding ok at the end of the feed? If she's bringing all her wind up ok, and isn't uncomfortable or taking a long time to wind, then it should be alright, I think? I don't really know, just going by our HV recommending that we wind Romilly mid-feed only because we were finding it really hard to get her to burp afterwards.

I never burp my lo mid-feed, unless he starts fussing and pulling away from the bottle. As long as your baby burps at the end, then I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Alex wont burp until the end of his feed, if he wants a burp mid way he soon tells me by wriggling and pushing the btl out of his mouth.

Asked my HV who said its fine as some babies dont need stopping for burps x

we stopped burping Matthew mid way as he would not go back to the bottle :dohh: and hes been fine xx

Connah is the same,he will take almost a full bottle before he will burp,i was woried he would be sick at first but we left him to it and he will do 1 big burp at the end of the feed and is never sick.
He will usually do a few inbetween his feeds aswel while hes in his bouncer.

We've been burping out little one only at the end of his feeds since he was about 2 months old :)
