am 33+1 today an yest i had sore shouldeer blade (right) for 2hrs, i think it did go through to front, middle chest(this was background an a is it or isnt it). Woke this mornin with chest pain just slightly right side from middle an shoulder blade pain too. Lasted maybe 30 mins (little sorer today). Should i be concerned, i had heartburn last preg in middleish chest an took like 12 rennies in short time an had stay overnite hosp due also havin high bp turned out was bubs foot in ribs (i was 34+weeks then. I dont believe bubs foot is in there as i feel space when touching no hard bits (baby).i dont see mw till 36weeks .

Does it feel like the burning sensation of heartburn or is it sharper in nature? Does it hurt to breathe in? Have you done anything to pull a muscle in that area? I would probably contact your midwife & talk it through with her. Its probably nothing but us pregnant ladies are more at risk of dvt etc so if you're concerned give them a ring xx

I think it's worth giving your midwife a call about, I'm sure all is fine but it's always good to check in.

no not like heartburn/indigstion, ive had this too. Feels sharper not bruisish or tender like muscules(oh thinks its way lying?). Its not any diff when breath etc. Its gone today but i did get bad pain dwn bellow an shower didnt help last nite bubs must be gettin ready whole way around pelvis front an back ached an am pretty sore there again today an can hardlt bend dwn withought discomfort in vag. If get chest pain again ill call mw. Thanks for replies.

Chest pain in the rib area can be a sign of something serious like preeclampsia, or something not at all serious like costachondritis. Definitely worth running by your doc!

The pain you're feeling elsewhere is probably just due to baby repositioning and shifting around. I'm having a lot of that myself lately and it can be so uncomfortable!

thanks messica, i believe hpelvic pain is bubs gettin ready yea. They are low as week ago on us bubs head was just above pubic bone . Bubs very active so reasured in tht.an bp an urine fine that day too? (tues of last week at 32+3

Gall stones or inflammation in gall bladder can cause referred pain to shoulder. Is it worse after fatty foods?

I was thinking this too. It sounds a lot like a gallbladder attack. At least what mine were like. The pain was felt from front straight to back like being shot with an arrow. Mostly in shoulder blade area but did radiate inwards to center a bit sometimes. Fatty foods can bring it on. Though for me that wasn't always the cause. Never pinpointed every trigger.
These symptoms are worth mentioning to your mw. It may be a sign of a few different things. If it keeps coming back or gets more painful I would call in before your next appointment to see what their thoughts are. Otherwise it is probably safe to wait.
