Anyone get BFN after period late but later BFP?

So my cycles are 27 days. This cycle I used opks for the first time and got + results on 8/22, 8/23 and 8/24. Those were cycle days 18, 19 and 20. I had cramps the second day of +opk. I think maybe I ovulated later than usual (but idk cause it is my first time tracking it) because that seems late for a 27 day cycle.

Anyway I am currently cd 32. The longest my cycle has ever been is 28 days so Im confused. I used a first response today and bfn so does that mean I am out? I havent had any symptoms really. The day before yesterday I had what felt lile pinches under my right hip bone. Then yesterday I was bloated and my breasts began to hurt so I thought maybe AF would come today since that is usually what happens. Still no AF today.

So, do you think Im out? Anyone have a similar experience and get a late bfp? TIA!

This likely won't help you, but I really hope you do get a BFP. Your cycle sounds fairly similar to mine. I have a short LP (varies from 7-10 days) that always occurs later in my cycle (CD17) and my average cycle length is 26 days.

If my calculations are correct, you're only about 7 or 8 days post ovulation. I'd give it another couple of days and test again if AF doesn't come. I don't think you get a positive until 10-14 days past ovulation usually. But i could be wrong as I still haven't gotten a bfp myself.

Thank you! I was wondering if I miscalculated dpo. I thought maybe I O'd on the second day that I had +opk because I had cramps so I counted fromthat and got 13dpo today. I dont know much about opks to be honest. I hope you get bfp too!

haha you're right. My math skills are terrible!! it would probably be about 12 or 13. you're right. maybe just give it another couple of days?

From what I've read is you ovulate 12-36 hrs your last + OPK, and you can feel ovulation twinges before, during, and after ovulation. Temping helps me. You could either have a short LP or ovulate later and have a normal LP which makes you think Af is "late" when it's actually on time...happened to me last cycle... I had a 37 day cycle(normal is 29) because I ovulated late... I hope I've have helped you
