Hi, I'm hopping over from 2nd tri as I'm looking in to prams atm and thought I'd ask the experienced lot on here who have got the ICandy Peach.

Do you recommend? Also, should I get the carrycot?

Thanks x

I've got a peach in black magic and also had the carrycot. I still love my peach though now LO is getting older I can see the benefits of having a quick all in one folder (we have a city mini for this). It can be a pain asking two parts in the car when you only popping somewhere but I still think the peach looks stunning.

As for the carrycot we only used it until LO was 4 months as he started to sit unaided at that point but prior to that we used it a lot, as a Moses basket for daytime naps and when travelling as its suitable fr overnight sleeping, in fact we used it that way until around 5 months when it just looked uncomfortable.

Some believe the carrycot is a waste but it's down to choice and how you intend to use it IMO.

Yep, it's a lovely looking, sturdy and easy to manoeuvre. On the downside it's bulky, takes up a huge amount of boot space and you have to take it apart to fold it.

As for the carrycot,we didn't use it much, as often when she was tiny I'd keep her in the car seat for quick shopping trips, so probably used it less than 10 times in total. Then our lo developed reflux and needed a slight incline so she went in the seat part reclined as far as it goes. But as the pp says, depends how you think you'll use it...if its for long walks/naps etc then yes get it!

Thank you! I'm really taken by it! But I remember having a carrycot with my son's old pram (Baby Jogger City Elite) and it wasn't used for very long so bit cautious about buying one again. was wondering, when they are small, whether you could use the seat unit in the lie flad position but hike the baby up a bit so that their feet are resting on where their bum would be when they're older? Does that make sense?

The pram would mainly live in the car and we have a citroen berlingo so a very big boot so not too fussed about the size when folded :) A bit worried about the weight though.

Does make sense, I've just laid mine flat to see and it's still at a slight incline...probably 15 degrees. Saying that I'm not getting the carrycot conversion for this baby, just an extra seat, as for short periods I feel it will be ok.

It's not heavy though to lift in and out a car though because you take it apart you only lift one component at a time, I've not struggled weight wise an I'm a wimp.

Thanks Hubbly. I will mainly be carrying this next LO in a wrap for the 1st 6 months anyway, so I think I will not bother with the carrycot and as you say, short trips with the unit should be fine. I've also got a compatible carseat so think that will do for short periods x

I've got the strawberry and that folds all as one and is very light. I love mine. Good luck with whatever you choose! X

Thanks Becky, I haven't looked at the strawberry but we're looking at the jogger version of the peach. Our pram, whatever we choose has to be 3 wheeler with air filled tyres!.... Narrows our choice a bit on nice stylish prams really which is why I'm excited about the peach jogger but it's so much more money than any other all terrain on the market I'm a bit wary too!

Yep I love mine!

Plus points:

Really sturdy but very easy to push and steer with one hand

Good recline on seat and coverage with hood, great for naps on the go

Brilliant footmuff that zips on so doesn't slip around when getting LO in and out

Basket is massive

Bumper bar really handy for hanging toys

One of the best covering, non-leaking rain covers I've ever come accross (on both seat unit and carry cot)

Minus points (very few in the majority of ways it's great!):

Hood is so bloody noisy, it clicks when you pull it down and always wakes LO up!

The way it folds the handle ends up touching the floor and mine has got quite scuffed, a real shame.

We bought the carrycot but same as pp out LO has reflux so we mainly used the carseat adapters or the seat unti reclined right back. I probably used it about 15 times in all so a bit of a waste of £150. I would defo recommend investing in the matching icandy footmuff I know it's expensive but it zips right round the top of the seat and is lovely and snugly and doesn't fall down like universal foot muffs, a problem that bugs me daily with our other umbrella stroller footmuff. Also I can highly recommend the icandy palm sunshade, it's covers the seat unit fully and really protects LO form sun, I use it all year round to create a nice cosy place for naps when out and about as LO gets easily distracted, I got it off eBay for half the RRP.

We've not got the jogger version but mine is great 'off road' beach, gravel, snow have caused us no problems

Thanks GC85..... I have bought all of Tom's prams off ebay in the past so I'm naturally looking for the peach too. I hope I can find one on ebay in a couple of months time :)
