Anyone had a 16 week 3d/4d ultrasound?

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has had a 16 weeks 4d ultrasound to find out the gender and if it ended up being correct? I have been told 4d scans at 16 weeks are very accurate...I have one tomorrow.

I had one last weekend.

The lady seemed VERY confident.

Guess I won't find out until May for sure.

But we have bought so much pink stuff that I really hope she was right!! Lol.

I had one at 17+4, the sonographer seemed very definite on the sex, at my normal 20 week scan my baby wasnt playing but from what the sonographer could see he guessed the same as the private scan, although he did say "based on what I can see I wouldn't go shopping just yet"! We have another scan just after Christmas so hoping to get it confirmed again there but the woman at the private scan said "definitely a girl" so we're pretty confident!

I had one at 11 abd 13 weeks and they said boy (she said 75% sure on the 13 wk one). Had an anomaly scan at 16 weeks and my consultant said 100% boy. You could see a little penis sticking up. Think its easier to spot boys then if everything sticks up clearly!

I had a 4d freeview on my 16w scan, baby was snuggled face first into the placenta though, so we mainly saw his back lol
The sonographer confirmed a boy (previous scan also showed this) my next scan is in Monday, so we should hopefully have another peek!

I had my first 4d scan at 16 weeks and was told she was a girl ... Had another one at 22 weeks and she said yep its still a girl ... Had my last one at 30 weeks and she was 99.9% shes a girl !!! LOL

A friend of my family had a 3D/4D scan at 7 weeks and could tell the sex because they could see the ovaries. Is that NUTS or what?? Anyway, my cousin just had a 16 week regular ultrasound, a "sneak peek" type with a potty shot and they could tell the sex... I couldn't imagine a 3D/4D not being able to find it.

This is my little alien at 16 weeks on the 3D scan. They do look better the more fat they get on them but this isn't too bad! They give you both options anyway so I have the "typical" scan shots too x

Oh good! I have one scheduled for 15+3 and was worried it might be too soon. Yay for early scans!

I had a scan at 16 weeks 3 days because of a problem with the placenta (which happily is mostly better now). We decided to go for a private one so we could get the extra pics, videos etc. He got a good 'potty' view and was very sure its a girl.

Had one at 15+4 and they 100% boy and we were watching on a huge flat screen tv and you could see he was a boy =)

I had one at 15+6 and it was correct. No mistaken the penis!

And they do look scary alien like. My son was not cute at all, and you could see his bones, but at 27 weeks scan he was BEAUTIFUL!

Are you in the UK or elsewhere? If the UK, you can get private scans at any private scanning clinics (do a google search and you will find lots). If you opt for a private delivery over NHS then as part of the private care then you would arrange them then too. Some NHS patients want to supplement the couple that the NHS offers and therefore go privately too for extra ones x
