anyone had a hsg

hi im just wondering what to expect its not really been explained to me ive just been told there doing a hsg and to take some paracetamol beforehand

They insert dye into your tubes, it's a little uncomfortable and your dignity goes out of the window but it's not really that bad. But I had really, really bad period type cramps afterwards, the type where I was crying and rocking back and forwards. I didn't take any paracetamol beforehand though and had to wait for them to kick in until the pain went away. I was fine when they did start working though. Make sure you get someone else to drive though as I drove myself home (only a 10 minute journey) and it was a bit much what with the cramps.

I had one 2 months ago. The test went by okay, no problems for me. Both my tubes are not blocked

Just a few hours afterwards very bad pains like I never experienced before. The doctor gave me some antibiotics which helped out alot. The pain only last one hour after taking the medicine.

Everyone is different on how this test goes, thats what I hear.

I didnt feel a thing.Went pretty smooth.No pains afterwards also.Just very minimal spotting.I had taken 600 mg of ibuprofen 45 mins before the procedure.Maybe because i like things being inserted in there.

Take someone u feel comfortable with u into the room.My husband was with me in the room and with him around i was feeling ok.

The bright side,u know that the highway for the spermies to reach the eggs are clear.
