Anyone had a Laparoscopy??

yay sounds like i should just relax and see what happens and hopefully i'll get my BFP afterwards, fingers crossed

Thanks ladies

Congrats on your pregnancies!!

I had a lap, and it's only a minor op, and your just left with a tiny scar under the belly button and also above the pubic line.
I was diagonsed with endiometrious, it's quite bizzare as although it's not hereditary, my sister, and mum also have it. I have fell pregant twice, once last year but resulted in a miscarriage, and im currently pregnant.

I've had 2. In the second one they found embedded endometriosis which you can't get to, therefore can't treat. And now I'm pregnant! I requested a dye test while they were there. All they do is inject dye into you uterus via you vagina and if all goes to plan, they see it on the laparoscopy coming out of your tubes at both sides! It has no side effects or risks, so they may as well do it while they're there, just to check your tubes are patent. When is you op?Let us know how it goes!!! x x

Yep they are gonna check my tubes at the same time

Thanks hun xx

I had a lap done 3 years ago due to endometriosis, and it was very quick - I was back to work within 2 days. In my case, they said it may interfere with getting PG - but oops here I am!! :hugs:

Should be having it done end of may-just waiting for a confirmation date

Ooooohhh i hope it helps me get a BFP

xxx

Thanks for the reply, that def gives me more hope and if its going to help me get a BFP then i'll be over the moon.

Just hoping that i dont have blocked tubes or anything

Thanks and goodluck with your next BFP!!

It was discovered I had blocked tubes. I was told I could never conceive naturally and the doctor offered to remove my tubes because they were so badly damaged. But, I refused. Also, my ovaries were fused to the side of my uterus. The doctor said he could not even get any dye to pass through the tubes. And I was accepted for IVF treatment, which I never went through with due to a relationship breakdown with my ex.

So, I accepted the fact I would never have children and my fiance and I were happy. We were not TTC when I just fell pregnant naturally. In fact, I first thought I was going through early menopause and did not seriously consider I was pregnant because I was so convinced I could not get pregnant. I am now 26 weeks pregnant at 39 years old. And my LO beat all the odds - my age, I have fibroids, blocked tubes and an underactive thyroid. But, the doctors have been proved wrong. :D

I wish you the best of luck. :hugs:

Wow thats amazing!!! what a miracle!! congratulations hun x

i wish they would hurry up and do my OP - i hate the waiting!!! :(

got my operation date....6TH MAY

aaaaahhhhhhhh scared

I have had a lapro and its pretty simple and with minimal scarring since its keyhole surgery

Do expect pain in your shoulders (known as Shoulder Tip Pain) as the gas they use to inflate the adominal cavity forces your lungs up so the tips of the lungs hurt...but it subsides in a few days as the gas naturally expels from the body

My lapro came back all clear...which in a way was frustrating as at least when something is wrong you can fix it! now i am just an unexplained infertility patient and its nearly 4 yrs TTC

anyway i hope your lapro is fine... u will be knocked out for the whole thing and it doesnt take very long 2 do

My cousin is an anesthesiologist and told me that 1 in 3 people get the shoulder pain (and it huuurts) but maybe you won't be unlucky like fefe and me!

Thanks ladies

I think i'd feel the same and prefer that they can sort any problems rather than tell me they cant find anything wrong....this pain i get must mean there is something wrong i just hope they can fix whatever it is....

:)
