Anyone had iron infusions during pregnancy?

Hi all,
Has anyone had IV iron infusions during pregnancy ?

I get them regularly during pregnancy as I suffer with seriously low iron and platelet problems whilst pregnant and have never had any issues whatsoever.
I usually have 3 during pregnancy , I’m currently 14+3 and had my first one last Friday at 13+5 and I’m booked in for another this Friday.

I feel like I have been hit by a bus after this one, from Sunday I started feeling really awful. Started with a bad headache and turned into feeling extremely sick and dizzy, my whole body is in pain especially my legs and chest, I can’t keep any food down whatsoever and the pains in my chest and cramps in legs are getting worse as time goes on.

Has anyone reacted to iron infusions before ? I don’t know whether it’s normal or whether I should speak to midwife/doctor.

I take iron pills during pregnancy and am anemic even outside of pregnancy. I only took an infusion once during labor. I can't remember how it made me feel since I was focused on contractions but if you're concerned it's probably best to talk to your MW about it.

Yes I did with both my last pregnancies. At 28 weeks.
It's really not that bad. U just go into hospital and its a bit like having a fluid IV but instead it's iron. Think it only took about a hour or so and then I went home. Felt amazing after.

I think I’ll need those. I’m super anemic. It drives me crazy how cold I always am. Yes I snuck over here lol
