Hi ladies,

I am expecting my second one, EDD is October 2015 so still months ahead to plan everything...

I didnt have the best labour experience with my first one, (was induced at 42 weeks in hospital which was too busy, took me 2 and half days to kick in the proper contractions, everything ended up with emergency C section) and the whole recovery was just pain in the butt...

So.. I was thinking to really give a try to give birth naturally.. and I was wondering if there is anyone here who has done that: give birth with second baby, after having C section with a previous one??

I would love to hear other moms experience ..

I am planning to have a natural VBAC, due May, let you know it it al goes well!

I had a VBAC three days ago after an emerg c-sec with my first.

It was a five hour labour, just gas and air, absolutely wonderful experience. I was going to go elective c-sec this time as i was so scared to attempt VBAC, but I am so so happy I tried, it was one of the best things I ever did. It was perfect x

Thank you!! All the best for your upcoming birth in a few months time! :happydance:

Congrats Gem! It's sounds like you had a wonderful VBAC :) I'm hoping for the same in four weeks! Any tips or hints? I'm researching breathing techniques to help me labour with just gas & air x

I would like to share my experience with you.

I had an EMCS with my eldest due to complications getting him out 5 years ago and I was pregnant with my second, I was worried that I might end up having c-section again, it has put c section at last resort because I don't want to have a long recovery!! Until the day I was induced and I had a fast 2 hours labour to push my second baby out without any complications with only gas and air!

Now I am expecting my 4th, and worried I might have to do it at home!! Haha!

:hugs:

Iria - I am in same position as you and wondering what to do!

My section was due to same reason as yours- induced but not progressing. I was induced because my waters broke.

I feel my best chance of natural delivery is if I go into natural labour ( not induced ) but I can't help but wonder if it will just happen again!

We have time to make decision - I was told final decision isn't made till 34 weeks I think. If you are in uk- u also attend a birth options clinic where a midwife will go through pros and cons of each x

I had an all natural VBAC in hospital with my 3rd after having an emergency c-section with my 2nd. :D

It was amazing. No pain relief other than walking around, and I was out of the hospital with my baby the next morning. :)
