Hi all! :wave:
Did anyone have really long cycles after giving birth?? If so, what happened???
I had LO in early February 2014. I had six weeks or so of PP bleeding and then started birth control after my 6 week post-partum check-up. I stopped the birth control after 1.5 months because DH and I decided to NTNP. I got a "period" a couple of weeks after stopping the birth control. Since then here have been my cycles:
#1: 58 days
#2: 71 days
#3: 48 (AF just started today)
It's crazy that it's late November and I'm only ending my third cycle since JUNE!!!
Before birth, my cycles were 31-33 days and pretty regular. When we were TTCAL, I had all of my hormones tested (CD21, CD3, etc) and everything was normal. I've also recently had my thyroid tested (again) and that's still normal.
I also never nursed LO, so that's not an issue.
Did anyone else have REALLY long cycles after birth?? If so, what happened? Were they permanently longer or did they eventually go back to normal? Also, if they were irregular (like mine... I never know when AF is going to show up anymore! 58 days... 71days... 48 days... I mean, what??), did they become regular again??
