anyone have some bleeding and go on to have a normal pregnancy?

I posted this in first tri but thought it might be better in here.

This is my fourth pregnancy, I have a son who is almost 4 and then I've had two mmcs after him.

I'm 8+4 today and I started having some spotting/bloody ewcm on Wednesday night. I phoned the epau yesterday and had a scan last night, after two losses I was so sure it was another mc but baby was there, wiggling and looking perfect the sonographer said everything looked great and she couldn't see any cause

When I got home last night I passed a tiny tiny little clot, and I hoped that had been the cause of it but today there's more, if anything a bit heavier (still no need for a pad though)

I was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and was everything fine? How long did your spotting last? I've had a lot of cramps too but I'm not sure if I'm just reading too much into it.

Yes, but mine was about 5 weeks into pregnancy. I actually thought I was having a late period so thought nothing more of it but a niggling doubt made me test! I am now 26 weeks with a healthy baby boy!

Hi! I had a bleed at 8 weeks, just light spotting and all was fine at the scan. I then had a huge bleed at 17 weeks, both my husband and I were convinced we'd lost the baby. I was admitted to hospital and it stopped quickly. The only explanation was part of my placenta was covering the cervix. Touch wood I have had no more bleeding and an now 2 weeks. Good luck xx

I had a subchorionic bleed at 7 weeks. It was resolved by the 12 wk scan. I followed recommendations of plenty fluids, rest, no lifting & pelvic rest (no sex). Just take it easy & stay positive. It's scary, I know. 21 weeks along now with healthy boy.

I had some bleeding at 9 weeks it started off brown and then turned red. It wasn't enough to wear a pad but it was still scary.

I bled at 6 weeks, just enough for half a pad. I was put on progesterone and only spotted brown occasionaly from a hematom until it resolved at 14 weeks. My hematoma was not visible at the 6 week scan but two weeks later btw!

I had reddish/pinkish spotting at 9 weeks....thought for sure I was having a m/c....I had had one a few years ago, so I thought the same thing was happening again. I booked an emergency ultrasound and the baby was fine - the bleed was coming from somewhere behind the uterus - a subchronionic bleed. Talk about relief!!!

Hopefully, it's the same in your case. I can imagine your worry, though... :-/

I started bleeding at 10 weeks for one day and went to hospital. It was not spotting but enough to need a pad. I was not informed then but I had a slight rupture of the placenta from the uterine wall, and that is what caused the bleeding. I bled again at 34 weeks and was admitted into hospital for a night, which is when I was informed of the tear. I was discharged and everything was fine after that, as I had a healthy baby with no other bodily issues at 39+6.

I had a bleed with one tiny tiny clot, two trips to the ER and come to find out I had a UTI. My bleed happened at 14.5 weeks.

I had some brown spotting at 8 weeks 5 days. It lasted (getting paler slowly) for about 10 days. I freaked out and called my GP who put me on bed rest. After a week I requested an ultrasound and was very relieved to see my wee lodger for the first time, wriggling away.
The GP said it was probably edge bleeding, due to the placenta settling. It was very scary, but I'm now 16+1 and everything's been pretty standard since I came off bed rest.

Talk to your doctor if you're having any bleeding, but try not to panic. Spotting is very common, and while it can be a sign of scary things, it can also be a lot of other things.

I'm still spotting, and it's been 4 days. Still not enough to need a pad but it isn't going away, in fact I'm not sure if it's a little worse this morning

I just can't stop worrying at all, and now that we've seen squidge healthy and wriggling it'll be so much worse if this ends in mc again

I posted on another thread, but I had a HUGE bleed at 13 weeks (as in, I was completely filling a heavy night-time pad every 10 - 15 minutes for a couple hours) and I was convinced I was miscarrying. I was sent to the hospital and the OBGYN told me to expect to miscarry at any moment also (although the baby was still fine at that point)...

That was 3 weeks ago though, and baby is still doing good despite all other expectations. I can't comment on the rest of the pregnancy because I have no idea how much of an impact this will have, but aside from the bleed (and the resulting hematoma that's behind the placenta now) everything still appears to be fine.
