I had my first 13 years ago and was emcs due to me being tired and couldn't get her out even though I was 10 cms and pushing just couldn't do it..... My next was 3 years after and after trial of labour had another emcs.... Am ttc at the moment and really worried about having an elective and I'm not even pregnant..... Everyone keeps saying they bet they let me try labour again due to the other 2 which was over 10 years ago not being medical reasons. Can anyone help reassure me pleeeeeaaasseee xxx

Hi

I will have my 6th section in May. At my hospital they don't let you try for a normal delivery after 2 sections. Your local hospital may be different. But as both your labours have end in EMCS I would think they might suggest an elective. Elective tends to be safer as they can take their time to deliver baby however as with all surgery, there are always risks.

Maybe it would be worth talking it over with your GP or a community midwife to see what your options are.

Good luck try to conceive ;)

You will have no problems!!! I just had my 3rd 5 weeks ago. Everything was great!

i have had 3 sections. first was emcs second was elective and third was emcs because I went into labour before my elective surgey date. everything was fine. My OB would also not allow me to have a VBAC after section. It does vary by doctor. In my opinion because you have already had 2 emcs I would be choosing an elective due to the fact that trying a VBAC may put you at risk for complications.

Good luck TTC

Thanks everyone for replays. Just gonna see what my consultant says when I get pregnant and do what they advise xx

I just had my 3rd section on Friday all went well :happydance:
