Hello lovely ladies.

After a nightmarish time of wtt and ntnp, we are finally back on the ttc wagon

As you can see from my stats, I'm coming up to the 4 year marker and all my original buddies have either disappeared or graduated into mummy hood. It's a bit depressing feeling like I have no-one to chat to.

It may sound mean, but I'm after some buddies that have been LTTTC for 3 years plus, simply because I feel that emotionally we will be more on a par than someone that has only just graduated from TTC to LTTTC (honestly don't mean that to sound cliquey).

So anyone out there fancy buddying up?

Hi there, sorry to hear of your struggles, I will happily buddy up - We will be reaching our 3 year mark of TTC in 6 weeks time (oh the joy)!!

After a much needed 3 month break after our first IVF cycle failed we are now officially back on the TTC wagon too, I have dusted off the ovulation kits and started testing yesterday.

My cycles are usually 28 days and I am on CD11 which I can see if the same as you. :flower:

Yay Pinkie, it is so much nicer to have someone to buddy up with, and it's a good omen we are cycle buddies this month too :)

I'm so sorry to hear of your failed IVF, what is your next step?

I have had 11 rounds of clomid (spaced over two years) and fell pregnant twice. I have been 'clean' from all hormone drugs since March 2012 and I am really hoping that we may be successful third time round :)

Hey ladies, I am three year of Ttc in June but NTNP for over four ...

Unfortunately for us we are still on a waiting list for an actual fertility specialist however my gyno did do some tests but would not try any drugs as I am ovulating, no endorse, no pros and hubby has great sperm.

Can I join?

My DH and I have been married for 5years. We've been NTNP and TTC since (we've taken some NTNP breaks on and off). We have just finally made the move to get help with our infertility (we have been in denial for a long time). I have many things stacked against me. And we will be doing DHs SA soon to find out our fate. I have a feeling I'll be here for a while yet.

Next cycle we will be doing a sonohystogram with bubble study, then hopefully a lap after that. After my lap it will be on to figuring out all the hormone issues.

Good luck to everyone!

Hey there.... nice to chat.
Also been trying for 4 years.
Bmi's are unfortunately to high at the min for ivf.
Perseverance of trying to battle the bulge.
Hoping to go private towards the end of this year hopefully will be a little more lenient on hubby.
I suffer with pcos : ((
Xx understand what you mean completely of wanting to talk to similar people in same situ : ))
Hoping for a bfp at some point.
Nice to chat : ) ) ) )

We've had our follow up appointment and been advised to have another round of IVF which we did plan to do but it's just deciding when to do it now. We are about to move house so I think maybe the summer and in the meantime will start trying naturally again.

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, have you discussed reasons of why this is happening? Do you have a plan on what your next step is?

would really like to join your buddy circle....

DH and I TTC since September 2010 with 1 mc in the meantime and cycles of Clomid with no success. Now after losing 10 stone in weight I am moving to IUI with the first try starting in 2 weeks time. I'm terrified and excited and hopeful, all wrapped into one and would love to have some ladies to share my experiences with.

A little emotional today as I found out yesterday that my sis (6 years TTC and 2 failed IVFs) is suddenly 8 weeks pregnant. SO SO happy for her but a little sadder for me....

Hope will get us through this ladies, we just have to keep believing xxx

Feel free to jump in, the more the merrier!

I'm not so sure what the waiting list in Devon is like for fertility treatment, but in Dorset we only had to wait a few months for our first FS appointment. I hope it is a quick wait for you too :flower:

Denial is normal my lovely :hugs: It is a big step to finally admit you need help, don't be too hard on yourself.
You mentioned hormone problems, is it PCOS or endo?

It's so tough isn't it :( Can I ask is your reason for going private because of the NHS ruling for BMI, or is there another reason? x

I think putting IVF off until after you've moved is a very good idea. Stress levels are bound to be high and you really don't want to be facing something as traumatic as IVF at the same time :hugs:

Sadly I need to have one more miscarriage before I can be tested for why they may be happening. I am worried as they both happened at exactly the same time. At the moment we are just goint au natural :haha: We have been lumped into the category of unexplained and told our best course of action is IVF, but we can't go on the waiting list for another 23 months, when I'm 30.

Welcome to the gang :)

Huge congratulations on the weight loss hun! :happydance:

Don't beat yourself up over being jealous - of course you're happy, but it's normal to feel that way xxx

Hi to all the other ladies on the thread, I hope we can all be a support to each other.

Justme27 - huge congratulations on your weight lost, I hope this helps your dream to parenthood.

I am in the West Midlands and our referral to fertility specialists only took a couple of months, it took a further year for all tests to be done and referral to IVF but I cant fault the clinic and they done everything they could for us. We were lucky to have one IVF on NHS and will now have to pay for the second but it was only an 18 week waiting list.

Feisty - I cant believe they want you to have another miscarriage before doing any tests, is that right? Also why do you have to wait until your 30 for IVF? It's definitely a lottery postcode out there.

Hey Yeh Its because of the bmi restriction.
We just feel we up against a battle we don't necessarily think we can win with the bulge.
Basically in aug the fertility team discharged us until we both get our bmi 29.9 under : (((
We feel its been such a long rd anyhow after 4 yrs. Fair enough to get my weight to 29.9 but not hubby to.
It's very tough all this post code lottery business with the nhs.
My road a little longer yet til I get to the weight but lost over 3st : )) xx
We feel paying for the ivf is the only way as they will be more lenient on hubby... : ((

Ps im in Devon : )))

My d thinks I have endo. But I won't be surprised If I have pcos too.

I know I have low estrogen and progesterone. I'm either not ovulating, my body just tries so it appears as I am. Or I have very low quality eggs, or both. I also couldn't sustain a pregnancy naturally. But my dr doesn't want to do any moving of hormones until after endo is removed because it wouldn't do any good. Last night I started The Creighton fertility model and they ask couples to abstain for the first cycle so I guess we are taking a break this cycle. Then next is sonohystogram and the then hopefully the lap.

Sounds like a lot off us are just waiting.

Baby dust to all!

Hi ladies, thanks for the support.
We'll we were told it was going to take 9 -12 months here in Alberta... There isn't a private clinic close and it looks like we will be moving soon now ... Unexpected ... We are at the 6 month mark of waiting so prob won't even get in before we have to leave.

So sorry for your losses ladies I couldn't even imagine, never had a pregnancy so if it happened I don't know how it could go on.

In my county you have to have 3 losses before they class you as having a problem - anything under could just be bad luck. I completely understand their reasoning, but when it takes us an average of over a year to conceive each time, it soon adds up.

For some reason they will only fund women that are aged between 30-35 for IVF. It seems really unfair and cruel, we all know how fertility starts to decline after 25 and the whole system is completely biased against those that want to start a family before then. We did consider just saving for private IVF, but part of me is worried it would just end in miscarriage. I would rather risk a natural 3rd pregnancy and then have testing if the worst does happen.

Hi ladies!! I have been ttc#1 since 10/09. I have never had a BFP. I recently had a diagnostic laparoscopy where they found adhesions from an appendectomy in 03', slight endometriosis, and a chocolate cyst. The adhesions had my ovaries pinned behind my uterus, and everything stuck together..(they flushed my tubes as well) so now that everything is free and in place I am on my first Clomid round. I am glad my doctor finally got to the bottom of my issues, and hopefully now we will get our BFP!!

Hi everyone its so nice to hear from everyone .. knowing we aren't alone : ))
Where there is negativity comes positivity.
: )))
Certain times are really set to try us sometimes.
Lttc isn't easy at all. : ((
But it's nice finding people on here that know how you feel.

wantabby, I think it is wonderful that you have been given a strongly possibility for your infertility, as now it is fixed you will be sure to get that :bfp: :)

I'm set to ovulate soon, and we've managed to dtd twice so far, fingers crossed we manage again before that egg pops :D

I really feel you guys. I just hit 3 years - we started when I was a young-seeming 35. I've gained 25 pounds in that time, and I am only 5'1".

I had a m/c early on in TTC, and since then I've developed all kinds of hormonal issues that I didn't seem to have before - endometriosis and PCOS. I've had two hysteroscopies and one laparoscopy, clomid, femara, menopur injections, IUIs.

My sister, who is 11 years younger than me, just got pregnant one month off her mirena iud. She's now 15 weeks.

It's all exhausting. We're going on to IVF. This is it. We're giving it one fresh cycle, and if we get enough to freeze, we'll do FET. Otherwise we are done.

Don't ever feel alone. Many in our offline lives do not talk about it, but if you share your struggles, people will start sharing their stories. And look at all of those fraternal twins out there. Those parents did not have a short, easy road for sure.

Best of luck to you! I hope 2014 is a life-changing year for all of us!
