Family member or close friend? Character from a book or favourite movie? Or maybe a celeb?!

We don't have any idea what we're going to do with a name, I think it'll be Baby (Dirty Dancing get it? hehe) for a while :p  Just wondering if anyone was naming their baby after someone?

Cant say our name, but we are naming him after someone famous...or infamous as the case may be lol

I'm not pregnant, but any child of ours will be named after my brother, Lee James.
I lost my brother 3 years ago.
If we have a daughter, she will have the middle name of Leigh, if we have a son, his middle name will be James.

Ethan's middle name George is after my lovely grandpa who died. Plus it's a family name for my side.

If we have a girl, her middle name will be after my DH's sister who he lost a few years ago.

We are having a boy and he will be called Arthur George after DH's wonderful dad who is still with us but is very ill. He's an amazing man and we both love him dearly. People have turned their nose up at our name but I don't care. We love it, it means something to us, it has substance and yeah it's a bit different, especially nowadays. I love it and I think of him as Arthur now, I just really hope it suits him because as much as you may like a name there is always a chance it just totally won't suit the child when you finally meet them. xxx

I love the name Arthur - very strong name for a boy :-)

My little boys middle name will be Vincent after my dad who I lost in November, he was such a brilliant man and would be so happy he's having another grandchild :(

I named my little girl Alex as it was different and also was a common name in both mine and OH's families

This one is having may as a middle name after my nan who passed away almost 2 years ago

If this baby is a girl her middle name will be 'Meadow' after our baby girl who died in April x

Our little boys middle name is going to be Jeffery after my dad who passed away when I was 8 years old in a horrible car accident.

If we have a boy the middle name will be William after my Dad who was killed in a car accident in April, if its a girl her middle name will be Elaine after OH's mum who passed away 3 years ago!x

mccarthy canaan (first name was dh mom's maiden name--she's no longer with us,and middle name is my mom's maiden name --which is also my brother's first name)

arielle ann madaline (first name we both just like but it starts with an "a" and there's a lot of "aj's" females in our family and we wanted to keep that going, ann was dh mom's first name, and madaline is one of my mom and i's middle names.)

Alexandra's middle name is Reynold after my grandfather. I was so close to him and just thought the name was unusual

luisa was going to be luisa nicole elizabeth but then my nan died when i was 32 weeks pregnant so we named luisa.... luisa nicole pierina

We had an agreement on the name. I named a boy. He named a girl. We are having a boy so he will be a III.

My FIL was named after his grandfather. (Jack Nelson Houck) My husband was named after my FIL (whom I adore) and is a Jr. so our son is going to follow some family tradition and be named after all three of these great men. :)

Katie has my best freinds name as her middle name.

She suits it as well.

If I have a son, his middle name will be Knowlton (family name from my fathers side) and Kessel as well so "name knowlton kessel surname". Kessel is my maiden name and none of my dad's sons had boys so I would like to carry the name on. It is especially important as I was very close with my dad and he died suddenly in February.

If I have a daughter, her middle name will likely be Rose - my maternal grandma with whom I am very close. For another girl will use Elizabeth as a middle name or perhaps Elise as both DH and I have Elizabeth in our families - both are dad's mom's names and both have passed away.
