anyone not bothering with their NCT group anymore?

I don't see anyone from my NCT group. Nice people I just didn't particulally bond with any of them. And noone lived near me anyway. I have friends I've met through other groups. Sometimes people just don't click.

It's luck of the draw. There were 7 of us in my original group and we all really clicked, then over time we added 2 more, so now there are 9 of us. I see a couple of them at least every week and we have nights out all together as often as we can, naturally it's harder now some of them are back at work.

But there's no point in forcing a friendship just because you were thrown together. It won't work.

There were 5 couples in our group including us and we're all still in touch. It is hard to get us all free at the same time but we usually see at least someone once a week. My LO loves to run around with her friends and she gets soooo excited. We're watching them all grow up together and reach their milestones. There is even another friend who has joined the group. All our babies were born June-Sept so similar ages. Now most of them work it is hard to get together as often but every now and again we'll have a toddler party at a weekend and get as many as we can together. My NCT friends have been a lifeline as I hardly know anyone round here. We are spread over a wide area but we all drive.

I never did NCT however I did go to our local sure start Newborn and Mum drop in centre and we all still see each other weekly (theres 7 Mums and LO's!) and our LO's all start school this year! See if there's one near you and give it a go!
