Hey, last pregnancy (ended in m/c at 7 weeks shortly after we heard hb)

My doc had put me on this regimen but I believe it was already too late to dtart taking it. I started it only a week or so before I miscarried.

I foound out I was preggo last tuesday and started the regimen the very next day. Is anyonr else on this regimen or have been or heard of it before? I google it and find alot of success stories but would like to hear from someone here.

I am super early according to my doc so hoping this works for me. My doc ordered about 17 different blood tests to check for blood disorders and so forth.

First congratulations! Secondly your doctor sounds fantastic! So many of them just brush you off and tell you it's nothing more than coincidence and happens all the time.

I've had two early losses. I'm currently on 400mgs of progesterone pessaries daily. One in the morning and one at night. I've never taken baby aspirin. My fertility specialist prescribed me the progesterone. My two losses were both natural conception and no GP would even run progesterone bloods even though I begged them to the second time.

Anyway I'm currently 7+4 and I saw a hb two days ago which I didn't get to do the last two. So far progesterone seems to be the trick. I hope it is for you to x

Yay congrats on being preggo and hearing that awesome hb! :happydance:

That is truly amazing. Do you remember what your hcg levels were in the early preggo? My first draw was 37 and second 57... I also had no symptoms with any of my prev pregnancies which kinda made me nervous, but with this one I have gas pai s some crampiness, I have a cold now, my nipples hurt too. No nausea or vomitting. I am praying for it though lol..

How are your symptoms?

Congrats! Yes, I took both and carried my daughter to full term. Before this I had a loss at 5 weeks and a loss at 12 weeks. I started a couple of days after getting a BFP this time and so far so good!

I think I just replied to your other thread but I take progesterone and baby aspirin from bfp til 13-14 weeks. I've gone to term twice with this regimen and I am firmly convinced it helped get me through the first trimester with this baby as well. My first hCG at 13dpo (3+6) was 38, 2nd blood draw was 236 at 17dpo (4+3), and 3rd blood draw was 1874 at 5+2. We saw baby and hb at 6+1 and 7+4 so dr was happy. Good luck and I hope this is your rainbow baby. I know how hard it is to be pregnant after many losses (3 consecutive before DS was born, one between DS and DD, and 4 since DD. Currently 30 weeks pg and due mid-July.)

Aw, thanks! Congrats to you my love :hugs: that is amazing and gives me hope. I started the day after I was told. Just to try and hopefully start sooner. Last time I believe was too late when I started

H&H 9 months to you dear!! :hugs:

Wow you are so inspiring to me!! Congrats and thank you for sharing that :hugs: one thing I will say is I think I started the regimen tok late with last pregnancy as I was already 7 weeks I think. This time around I started day after I was told of a bfp (before period was even due) so I pray this is my miracle.

Progesterone is great but will not save a failing pregnancy, only a healthy pregnancy that maybe a little extra progesterone would help you get through...

HCG should double every 2-3 days. I would take that progesterone and keep the faith that everything will work out....

My progesterone was a bit low at about 9 weeks so I went on the pills then....I am still taking 200 in the evenings, used to take 200 in the AM/200 in the PM.

Take care!

It is possible that you started it too late with your last pregnancy. The latest I've started taking progesterone/baby aspirin is 6 weeks (bloods came back negative at 4 weeks so we figured I'd get my period. It never came so I tested 2 weeks later and started progesterone that day. DS was born healthy, happy, and full term.) I'm miscarried while taking progesterone but in every case there was something wrong with the pregnancy (blighted ovums or missed miscarriage). And remember, not everyone doubles hCG over 48 hours. I didn't after that second blood draw and I haven't with my other pregnancies as well. I personally think your second draw was pretty good as you almost doubled in 2 days and some women take a little longer. So hang in there and hopefully your labs show things are still progressing.

I have been on progesterone for a few years. I take it 3dpo until 12dpo. Once I got a BFP I started again. My level was consistently low until 3 weeks ago (at 9 weeks) which was still on the low side but better.

My test yesterday came back at 40 which is great! So I am now weening off. My dr hopes in 2 weeks that I can stop completely. (I started at 200mg at night. At 5 weeks i had to increase to 200mg in the am and 400mg pm. (I had to go off for 24hrs and end up with bleeding.) at 7 weeks increased to 400mg am and 400mg pm. (9 weeks i had more bleeding but unsure why still) I know without a doubt without the progesterone I would have ended in miscarriage. So decreasing is nerve racking but 40 is great so I'm confident I'll be ok.

Do not miss a dose unless directed, and communicate with your dr anything abnormal.

Congrats! Happy and healthy 9months!

Thank you for sharing hun. I am wondering if my doses need to increase...hmm.. I am only on 100mg twice daily...

Your hcg seems okay but you'll know more with third draw. My first two were 3 days apart so probably would have been closer to your level had I done it after 2 days.

I don't really get many symptoms at all. My first successful pregnancy I was only tired and just had a bigger appetite, never got morning sickness, nothing and all went well.

This time I've been tired again and here or there have had maybe some queasiness but really hardly anything until yesterday at 7+3 when I genuinely felt really unwell for the first time ever. It was horrible lol. Today I'm pretty okay again though. Just queasy occasionally. I have sore boobs but I put that down to the progesterone. And this time I can squeeze colostrum out my boobs since 6 weeks! Soooo wired and definitely didn't happen the first time. I guess it's because I bf my first son??

My two losses I never had any symptoms. Not even sore boobs I think.

How far are you now?

I'm only on 100mg suppositories twice a day and am truckin along just fine. I think it all depends on the individual how much you end up needing so don't think you're taking too little just because other women have needed more. Everyone is different :flower:

(Mine is an ivf cycle, I was instructed to *not* take an asprin regimen and my betas are in my sig line. They only needed the two, I have first ultrasound on the 16th. That said, you can't compare beta numbers either. High or low in general doesn't matter, just that they're growing at a reasonable rate).

I wouldn't worry about the dosage. I took 100mg orally twice a day with both my kids and made it to term. We increased my dosage with this pregnancy as sort of an experiment. (I have unexplained bleeding in the first trimester and a blood draw showed my progesterone was increasing but still on the low end of the normal range. We tried increasing the dosage as there is a chance my still low progesterone levels are causing a partial placenta abruption around 8 weeks. Didn't help so I'll probably go back to the 100mg twice per day dosage for my next pregnancy and stick with that. The daily aspirin seems to help me more so we are def sticking with that.)
