anyone ovulate late on clomid?

Hi ladies I'm currently on cd25, yesterday and the day before I had +opks so I must of ovulated this morning some time. I've taken 15 rounds of clomid when you put them altogether and I've always had af either cd28 or 29 so I must normally ovulate cd14 or 15. Has anyone else ever ovulated this late on clomid? I don't think its normal :s I take my tablets cd2-6. Af is supposed to be due in 4 days time!

I am on my second round of clomid, last month being my first. I took clomid on CD5-CD9, and was instructed to do OPK days 10-20, got a positive OPK on CD22. Was concerned and called my doctor because I wondered about dosage...he said, that ovulation day(s) can vary, and to switch the testing window to days 12-22 for this time...

I guess the short version is that ovulation date can vary - even though their is a "predicted" response for taking clomid. Sure does make it tough though.

I was just coming to post the same question. My normal cycles off clomid are 23-26 days with a positive OPK around day 10. The first cycle I took 50 mgs cd 3-7 and got a positive OPK on day 12 and my cycle was 29 days. This second cycle I took 100 mgs cd 3-7 and am now on day 20 with no positive OPK still. I'm so worried!

Wow thanks for posting because I am going to try clomid soon and this gives me some insight as to how it works. I would be worried too if I didn't O by day 20. I also get my first positive OPK on D10 or 11 usually.

ovulation does vary... they say the 5-10 day window they tell you about (you should ovulate 5-10 days after taking your last pill) is just the average, so they are going to be lots of woman who ovulate early and a lot that ovulate late. Good luck!

Looks like I've ovulated 18-19 days after my last pill though :s its not normal for me after taking so many cycles! I think maybe its starting to not work for me, if I don't fall pregnant after this cycle I hope my next one works.

I am on cd17 and according to my bloodwork the Doctor says I will ovulate either cd18 or cd19.
So that's pretty late too.

Yes, I called my doctor today because it's now CD 21, 14 days after my last pill and nothing. Although Chanel's post gives me some hope, I feel like I am pretty much out this month.

You sound similar to me, when did you take your tablets? I took mine cd2-6 and didn't o till cd25! Never happened to me before

I took mine days 3-7. This is only my second cycle, but I feel your pain. Still nothing and it's now CD 22. Plus my gyno never called me back!

I'd sack him lol, hopefully he will call you back today! I hate waiting around it drives you nuts don't it! Keep using opks, ya never know some people do ovulate stupidly late like me! X

Yea, I think you're right! He still hasn't called me back. I may go for the HSG he referred me for and then on to a FS. I think AF is coming on since I am spotting. So either I didn't O or I somehow missed my surge even with testing 2x per day.

I am so happy I found your thread! I am CD21 and took clomid 3-9 with no indication of +O. I am so frustrated! I am just wondering how long you continued to test. I am testing using the CBE smiley face test and keep getting a big O--I just keep waiting to see a smiley face

Both cycles on Clomid I've ovulated late - CD21 and CD22. It's frustrating to have long cycles, but I'm just happy to finally be ovulating.

Just out of curiosity, why are you ladies who ovulate normally (or at least earlier) taking Clomid?

My fs prescribed me clomid to make my cycles regular and to produce more eggs so i have more chance of getting pregnant. Ive been temping, im not on clomid no more and havent been for the last 2 months and ive found that last month i ovulated cd20 by myself but think month i still havent ovulated at cd31 so i dont think i ovulate every month think ill be going back on clomid x
