7 weeks pregnant again having tx'd due to NTD (spina bifida, talipes, arnold ch 2 & hydro) in NOV 2011 @ 20 weeks.. x

Hi, first of all congratulations on pregnancy, im not pregnant as yet but i have been through this same thing, i lost my little boy at 22+4 in january. I wanted to ask you what advice you have for the next time? im taking a very high dose of folic acid already (10mg) and have been told to wait 3 months before trying again. I want to try again but at the same time i want to do everything possible to try ensure this doesnt happen again. (i know nothing is guarenteed) Does SB run in your family? were you taking folic acid during the last pregnancy? i was but it just wasnt enough and OH mum was born with mildest form but you wouldn't even know. xx

Hi TaraMarie I dont come to this section much, so have only just come across this thread.

Firstly Congrats on your pregnancy, I hope all is going well for you? I am pregnant after loosing Harri in March 2011 to SB (arnold ch, & hydro) at 20 weeks.

I am now 24+1 with a healthy little girl
