Anyone put on weight with the Mirena Coil??

I had the coil fitted in February and since then Ive put about a stone on! Im so annoyed, I havent been over eating or anything but slowly this has crept on..Ive heard the coil can make you put weight on and just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this?? I was 8 1/2 stone 2 months after having Jack and now am about 9 1/2. I just feel uncomfortable in my clothes now.

the mirena only has a tiny amount of progesterone in it ; hardly any gets into your blood stream.

one side effect of the progesterone is fluid retention, but that would not account for a stone,

weight gain is listed as a side effect , but it's not a common one

I've had the Mirena coil twice with no problems of weight gain and lost weight easily when trying

I have put on 1.5 stone in 18 weeks and am thinking of getting it taken out, have ppointment soon. I have eaten exactly the same but probably less than normal and am much more active, only change is the mirena!!!!!
I am also having massive mood swings so its not for me.
