anyone tried or know anything about gold maca for fertility?

Doing some reading for my sister in law who has been ttc for over 2 years now. Does anyone know anything about gold maca? Had anyone tried it? Any side effects? Thanks in advance and good luck to all!!!!!!!

Everything I am reading says it is a natural root that was used for fertility by the Mayans to increase their fertility & also by cattle farmers to increase the cattle fertility without adding hormones. It can be used by men & women to increase fertility by "naturally regulating your own hormones" without adding exogenous hormones to the mix. Sounds very promising but I wanted first hand feedback before I recommended it to anyone. Thanks!!

Hi, we are both on Maca Root. I honestly dont know at this stage if it helps or not but anything is worth a try! Although as far as I know I ovulate fine I have also been taking other supplements to try and get my body/eggs in the best shape for treatment. I am also on COq10, Royal Jelly, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Multi-Vits for Conception.

My AF normally lasts about 3 days with one very heavy (agonising) day in the middle. Since taking these tablets, AF has been more like 4-5 days with much steadier flow and less pain. I dont know what any of it means but its interesting!

Gold maca is actually yellow maca to be precise. However, there are 13 different colors of maca and each of these colors has different DNA and different physiologic effects on the body. Not sure about gold macca. But my OH took macca root capsules 2000mg aday and we had been trying for 2yrs. Couple months later and I got my bfp. Currently 7wks!! So I would recommend it.

Side effects - the first week he took it he couldn't sleep but it then passed.
