Hello,

I thought I'd introduce myself and see if anyone wanted to come along on this journey with me.

I am a 27year old who has been married for just over 6 years.y husband and I have been ttc for over 3 and a half years for baby number one and have recently been referred to seek support with this. We are only at the beginning of our supported journey and have recently had initial testing on his sample (all okay) and my day 2,3,4 and 21 progesterone. My results are not back yet but I have a home ferility monitor (clear blue) and am happy that I ovulate each month.

So my next appointment is on Monday and I'm more than a little worried about me being the problem now that we know that hubby is all okay.

It would be great to hear from anyone who is going through similar or been through something similar.

If you are still reading this far then thank you for giving me your time. It often feels like quite a lonely thing as we've kept it on the quiet.

I would love to be your buddy. Infertility can be an extremely lonely road and we all need someone who understands. I am 27 also. DH and I have been married for 5 1/2 years and trying almost the whole time. I did one round of Clomid then have emergancy sergery. Took 6 months off to recover and try to regroup. Then I did 3 more rounds of Clomid with my gyno, never ovulating. He has since refered me to and RE and we met with him monday. He is having us do Femara this month with a poss trigger shot and IUI. Hubby SA is all good. Definetly with me. Are you working with a PCP, OBGYN, or RE? I hope you get the results back soon. Let me know what you find out! Good luck with your appointment, Monday is just around the corner! :hugs:

Goingforit,
I'm keen on going on this journey with you. I'm 27, have been married for 2 years. I had a miscarriage in March and have been trying for a year (Im just new to this part of the forums as of today). I just went to have my first blood test for fertility testing.

Karen,
Seems like you know alot about fertility testing.

It would be great to be on this journey with the both of you. I know I haven't been trying for very long. However, I'm having trouble with my cycles (40 day cycle length).
DH and I have been together for almost 13 years. Big hugs to you ladies.

Lovely to hear from you both. Well I'm on route to my appointment and feeling nervous. I'm just going through the gynaecologist at the moment but will see what she says after today. Karen; you are very clued up on this and all the jargon - I suppose you've learnt through time. I have always been too wary to seek support until now thinking that I wasn't worthy enough or not given it long enough.

Anyhow the sun is shining so that's always a good thing!

Hope your both feeling okay?

Okay. So I'm feeling really emotional. It seems it was a lot to take in today and I felt a bit bombarded. So, my results showed high prolactin so ha to repeat my blood test today to see if tht has come down - if not she wants to do an MRI (freaked me out a little with that as when they thought I had cervical cancer in Jan they wouldnt even do that then). Shes also put me down to have the hsg, she said it was a choice as there was nothing to suggest this was an issue but I just felt that this way it can be another thing ruled out (hopefully). The other option was clomid for three months but, depending on all results, will have that afterwards.

So took swabs today, routine for hsg and have to ring tomorrow to book it in. Then get results of blood and swabs on Friday.

I'm feeling low, I had severe precancerous cells removed in January and have been left worried from that. Just hope this blood shows a lowered prolactin. Sorry to rant all; just no one else to talk to and to be honest; I don't want to tell hubby what it's making me feel like as I don't think he realises what it all is.

Monday was just around the corner but I'm sure it will now drag until Friday!

Oh my goodness. I can not imagine having to deal with cancer on top of trying to conceive. I had to have my emergancy sergery becuase they said if I didn't I would develop uterine cancer within the next few month. That is so scarry. I hope your results come back better. You are in my prayers.

Welcome. Sorry you had to cross over to the LTTTC group. However, there are some wonderful supportive women here. I hope you can find the support you need. I will be here for you as much as I can.

That must have been scary for you. To me, it's just incredible what ttc can throw up. I mean, fingers crossed my prolactin levels are lower but that could be the sign of other issues that otherwise, I wouldn't know; just like you and your emergency surgery.

Exactly. Sometimes all this can be a blessing in disquise, but I am ready for the ttc to be over.

Where are you in your cycle this month? Fingers crossed that soon you'll have your bfp.

hey girls i hope you dont mind me joining in? I'm 28 and dh is 31. We have been ttc for 14months.
I have had my blood tests done twice all normal and dh had his sa done that is normal as well. Also i had a vaginal ultrasound done to look for pcos and that was also normal. We now have an appointment for the fs in sep. I feel quite nervous but also anxious to move forward with things.

Goingforit, i am sorry it was that your prolactin levels where up and i am keeping my fingers for you that they come down. I have also been told by my dr that i will prob be having a hsg done so will be right behind you.

Karen, i hope that your journey leads you to your :bfp: sooner rather than later.

Thanks! I hope the appointment with the FS can help you figure out what is going on on get your BFP. I can't imagine not knowing what is making it not work. Good luck!

Thankyou, i just have a feeling i'm going to fall into the unexplained section which just is'nt helpful at all! I'm 5dpo atm and secretly i am wishing for a :bfp: so i dont have to go! I don't think the nhs system is very good at helping couples out.

Will this be your first IUI karen?

Hi girls, id love to join you too, im 30 DH is 37, I was dx with PCOS back in 2007 but we didnt start TTCing till Nov 2009, we tried for a year and nothing, so found a doctor that would help and they sent me to my Gynae, she is lovely and so helpful, finding the right diet and exercise has helped lose a little of the weight i was told to lose. Since losing the weight Gynae has prescribed me Clomid and after not having :witch: since last October was quite happily surprised to see it a few days ago. So here i am day 3 of the Clomid tablets. Havent had too many of the side effects, just been feeling quite sick today.

Hope to have you guys as TTC buddies xxx

:dust: to us all xxx

Goingforit: sorry to hear about the precancerous cells. We’re here to talk if you can’t talk it over with DH yet.
Karenh: I feel more comfortable here already. Except I need to learn all the jargon relating to fertility treatments and such. Bear with me.
Laustiredttc: I’m 27 and DH turned 32 last April. We were NTNP from August 2011 and I fell pregnant in December 2011. The pregnancy was non - viable and I had a D&C in March 2012. My cycles are 40 days long and I’m starting fertility tests now. FX for BFP this month!!
MrsBarrowman: My gyno mentioned that I may need to take clomid depending on my results. I’ll have to pick your brain if I go down that avenue. Hope that’s ok.

Ladies where are we all in our cycles at the moment? I’m on DPO10, I’m doubtful as I only BD’d twice. DH and I were too tired to DTD as we did some odd jobs around the house. We just put our house on the market. The stress didn’t help this cycle unfortunately  Next month will be a different ball game altogether as I will get back test results September 25.

hey hun i am 6dpo and not had any symptoms so far. I love your little fur baby, we have a fur baby as well and he makes me smile everyday. I hope the house moving goes well.

MrsB i'm glad that you have had a good experience with your dr, its nice to hear that some take the time and patience to help out.

Thanks girls.

Scorpio23: will gladly give you some advice, although this is my first round. Not been too bad, slight nausea, hot flushes (not a gd thing when your trying to get to sleep lol).

Laustiredttc: thanks it really is gd to find dr who is helpful, it really spurs you on.

Made my appt to see Gynae on day 14 of my cycle for my u/s to see if the Clomid has worked or working. Little nervous and apprehensive thoughh xx

Im on CD5 today so nothing to report. Does anyone do their BBT in the morning? And does anyone know when you can start doing OPK's in your cycle?

Laus, my lil fur baby is almost three now. We have two furry friends now :) What type of dog do you own. DH refers to them as the kids hehe.

MrsB, I BBT in the morning. If you have a regular cycle Id say to start your OPK on CD 8 or 10. I have a 40 day cycle and OV on CD26/27. I start my OPK CD23 or when I see a change in CM.

ah bless our fur baby is a border collie tri colour he is three soon as well in november and he is our world. He gets more attention than me from the dh ha ha b ut i dont mind as i do the same. what fur babies do you have hun?
