Anyone want a buddy?

yay for your cycles becoming shorter!! Clomid definatly did that with mine, Are you takin clomid (sorry i cant remember), my cycles went 39 days, 36 days, 34 days, 35 days, and 34days, Still wish that i could have a "normal" 28 day cycles, TTC would be so much more quicker, if you know what i mean.

Im taking a month off clomid this month so itl be interesting to see what happens this cycle, iv read that it stays in your system for a few weeks though. Sorry if im repeating myself, iv forgot what iv previously wrote lol.

Lau - Catterick is OK, theres some lovely places near by, we went to Harrogate on sunday and i loved it!!! the in laws are coming to stay next weekend so we are taking them there and goin to bettys tea rooms , its meant to be lovely there :)
Are you 10dpo? how u feeling? xx

No I am not on Clomid any more. I am waiting for AF so I can start on Femara and then do and IUI. Enjoy your month off. We took August off and it was nice.

i have been to betty's tea room, lovely i hope you and the in laws enjoy it hun :)
Also good news on the shorter cycles  mine are usually 29-32 days but last month it was a 28day cycle  I am 8dpo today, think i have a bit of a way to go yet. Not getting good vibes at all though this month, feel out already before i even feel in :( hate that stupid feeling :growlmad:

No problem for asking where I am. It is hard to keep track of everyone one. I finished the progesterone pills Tuesday. So now I am just waiting for AF to arrive. Could be any time within the next week and a half. Then I take Femara cd 3-7. Have ultrasound cd14 or 15 to determaine timing of IUI. But it will be this month.

Wow. Lovely to see lots of new ladies here. I'll have to read up tomorrow when I'm feeling more with it. My bloods have shown that my prolactin is still high and Infact have risen since the last set of bloods :-( I've now got to wait for a phone call on Wednesday to tell me what the consultant decides. At least the process is rolling.

Oh I forgot to ads that my hsg is booked in for Friday afternoon!

hey hun sorry about the results hopefully they will be able to set you on the right path and good luck for the hsg fx

Count me in :flower: I'm 28 and me and my husband have been ttc for 17 months. I have been diagnosed with pcos and an underactive thyroid. I only get on average about 3 periods per year and I am scared that I don't ovulate at all. We are currently being referred to a fertility clinic and should get our first appointment Nov/Dec. Before I started ttc I was on the pill for 10 years and this has masked the problem all this time which is frustrating. If I'd known sooner I would have started ttc a lot sooner. Everyday is a struggle but this site is a new lease of support and hope for me.

i know what you mean hun i was also on the pill for about 8 years would never have bothered if i knew it was going to be this hard!

I know what you mean. How did you get the PCOS and under active thyroid diagnosed? I know these things can link to the prolactin level they are investigating for me. What were your symptoms? I've always had my periods so I honestly don't know what my issue is. Good luck.

If only we were all better educated about the pill. I would have never have gone on it as it is also something that doubles your likelihood of cervical cancer too. Think the hormone feeds it :-(

Yes I too would like to know how you can be diagnosed with PCOS??

I think you can have a blood test to check your thyroid levels. Before I miscarried I had that test and it came up normal.

If its in a blood test I would assume that they have checked that level with me - but I thought the prolactin (my issue) could be linked to that...

Anyone with any knowledge on this please share :-)

To check for pcos i think that they do an ultrasound ladies to check the uterus, ovaries etc.... I think that's right?

Also i think i might have over active thyroids, does anyone know if this would affect anything?

There are so many symptoms for PCOS and they can manifest differently in each case. There isn't one straightforward test that they can run and say, yep, you have PCOS. They will take a medicle history and cycle history, probably do an ultrasounds, blood work to check thyroid, glucose leavels, insulin, lots of things. Even then most docs are still hesitant to diagnos PCOS becuase there is so much about it that is unknown and veriable.

AF finnaly decided to show her face. I start femara on wednesday and I have my mid cycle us on the 24th. DH isn't sure if he wants to go because he said it was weird last time. Should I tell him I want him to come or just suck it up and go by myself? He would have to meet me there because I would be going during my lunch break.

Ladies thanks for the info on PCOS. I will take my charts in to my FS at next appt.

Karen: sorry AF showed. I think u should leave the Mr at home, if hes uncomfortable. We are here for u & u can tell DH about it when you see him after.
