Anyone who got pregnant with Clomid?

After a MC back in August 2010, my periods still haven't returned...

The Dr suggested Clomid and we decided we're gonna try it. As for now, we're taking a break until June. OH and I decided that we need some time to breathe and relax without having to worry, so that when we do start the Clomid it would be kind of like a fresh start for us.What I was wondering was what are my chances of twins? What kind of side effects should I expect? I'm also worried it won't work for us. I'm so nervous because I feel like I'll never get pregnant..Any feedback would be great!

I used Clomid and got pregnant with DD and used it again to get pregnant with DS..used it a third time and didn't get pregnant am now going to have IVF. The chances of twins are low or that's what we were told..its used to induce Ovulation or if you do ovulate it helps the eggs with quality and maturity. I ovulate normally so it was used to boost my chances as I am unexplained. Side effects that I had were hot flashes, headaches (migraines), heavy periods, and mood swings..lol..it helps a lot with side effects if you take it at night..I was on 150mg..Good Luck Clomid works great fro some people and it did for me until now!!

I prefer Femara .. no real side effects. I have used both Clomid (1 year -- never got prego) and Femara (got prego after 2 months). Just know there are options out there so if Clomid is too rough on you then you have another choice

I used Clomid (and an IUI) and got preggo 1st try- sadly I am going through a miscarriage right now but I will jump back on that horse after 3 cycles of au natural if it doesn't work... my doc won't introduce fertility meds after a m/c til then~ which I understand. Anyway, I agree- take Clomid @ night.. the side effects were minimal .. I think the worst part if you could say 'worst' were some strange headaches and I could also CLEARLY feel ovulation with some cramping but that was okay too. I ovulate fine on my own- took it bc of my DH's slightly low count and low morphology. chances of twins is like 10%, so not THAT high.. and WELL worth it if it ups your chances of getting preggo. Holly-I am so very sorry for your loss hun I know exactly what you're going through just know that God has a bigger plan that we don't always understand at the moment. I admire you for thinking ahead and staying motivated, you seem very strong! Good Luck and keep me updated

Thanks so much girls. OH's seem to do their job, It's me that is not ovulating at all right now so i definitely wouldn't mind some OV cramping
