Anyone who was taking Gabapentin when they got pregnant?

Is there anyone who took gabapentin when they conceived?

I suffer from Fibromyalgia & take Gabapentin for pain relief, I have been told by someone that Gabapentin stops you from conceiving & as we have been trying for some time now I would like some idea if this is correct.

I have googled this but can't find any information to confirm or deny this.

well i dont know about gabapentin personally but i know its also an anti-epileptic drug, and im on phenytoin for my epilepsy and have fallen pregnant twice on it, most anti seizure drugs reduce the affects of the contraception pill too x

had a quick look for you, gabapentin does not reduce contraceptives, not that it matter as you are TTC, i also found several studies that say it does not effect fertility either, hope ive helped a little?

i have been on gabipentin since april of 2009 and i recently became pregnant. so yes...u can get preg. while on it. my concern is that all the studies ive read say there could be damage to the fetus if you are on this medicine while pregnant. but they are still arent completely sure.

I was on gabapentin before I got pregnant, but as soon as I found out my consultant advised that I stopped taking it. In my case, it didn't affect my fertility, but I think there is a risk to the fetus. Hope that helps?
