Anyone with ulcerative colitis?

I was just wondering if anyone else is suffering from ulcerative colitis or something similar? I had not had any symptoms for nearly a year and then a few weeks into my pregnancy I have developed bad flare-ups.

Im so depressed about it to the point where I don't want to eat anything and feel like I can't leave the house.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I'm really scared for my baby!

no i dont but my mum, gran and 3 aunties do - so i can understand to some extent, mums just recovering from a v bad flare up ... hope it calms for you soon xx

I have ulcerative proctitis, and mine is also flaring up, maybe because I've had to stop taking some of the herbs I was on for it. My naturopath actually told me often these things often clear up during pregnancy, usually at the beginning of the second trimester. I am holding onto this hope. Are you taking anything for yours? There are things you can take that won't hurt the baby, and it's best to get it treated before it gets really bad. It is so hard not to worry, I'm trying to focus on the many people out there who have this disease and go on to have healthy babies.
