My LO usually takes 4oz (120ml) at most, but sometimes she can take 5oz (150ml). She has never taken more than this, and now she is fully established on solids, I assume she will as time goes by, take less milk.

She has a cleft palate (has now been repaired, hopefully no more operations) which would perhaps have contributed to her intake.

Anyone else's baby not taken any more than 5oz per feed?

She usually goes 3 hours between her milk feeds. I've tried spacing them further to 4 hours, sometimes she will tolerate it and others she will not. Unfortunately, she needs a milk feed in order to nap, so more often than not she has smaller more frequent feeds. I have tried every which way to get her to nap without a bottle but she refuses (she is not allowed a pacifier).

My LO is only 9 weeks old, but so far she never takes more than 4 oz (usually 3-3.5). And as a baby I never did either:winkwink:

mine! she never takes more than 5oz but hardly ever goes more than 2.5 hours, between feeds except at night. we combi feed. i guess sone babies are just snackers lol!

Finn is 14months+ and has never taken more than 150; usually about 100-120. He takes several bottles throughout the day and now that he is also eating food, we alternate food and/or bottle. Even when he was exclusively bottle-fed (prior to 'weaning' at around 6 months), he still didn't want more than 120 (150 at a stretch); in fact, we have used the same smaller NUK wide bottles since he was born (just changed the teat size as he got bigger) and he can use a sippy on his own and with help, a regular plastic cup. He's a snacker and we make sure that fruit, rice cakes and yogurt are available along with his three 'meals' and bottles. Oh, well....

best wishes

Oh, and we offer a bottle when he wakes up. This morning, he had about 110 mls, and then an hour or so later, had toast and porridge at creche. Then a snack at creche, lunch there and a nap. I pick up at 2pm, we have a bottle and rice cakes. Then a nap, then a bottle when he wakes up (100-120mls), dinner with us, then offered a snack. Bath and a bottle before bed, so he does drink overall about 600mls a day, with water as well as loads of food.....
