apples and pears

How would you puree them?
Do you boil or can you steam them?

I boiled them and stuck them in the blender x

Linds doesn't like boiled apples apparently... I peeled raw ones, then grated them and then stuck 'em in the blender for a bit...

I do the same. You can add apple juice instead of water. Isobel likes it with cinnamon added too.

I boil / stew them in milk for 10 minutes and then mash it with a fork, Aisling has never had it properly pureed. I also add cinnamon, she loves it

i used to steam them and then puree in the blender

now i steam the apples and just mash a ripe pear and the steamed apple

apple pears and peaches is nice too

I was buying the grocery store snack cup size ones with added calcium, but I am now baking the apples in the oven then putting them through an apple sauce maker we have. Suppose I could do the same with pears.
