Appointment to see anaesthetics?

I am consultant led due to two previous c sections. Hoping for a VBA2C this time if all goes well and the consultant is happy. I've just received an appointment with anaesthetics which says it is to discuss pain relief and any anaesthetic management I may need. I have had two spinals because of the sections so I'm not sure why this appointment is necessary?

Anyone had any experience?
