April Mummies 2011

Thanks for your answers! I forgot about m height, love it too Gertrude! I'm 5ft11 so not much between us!

Hmmm, good features. I think my best inner quality is my sense of humour. I can find a laugh in most situations! Physical feature, I'll go for my wrists & ankles. No matter how much weight I put on, they stay nice & slim!

Jakes, I'm the same with bra sizes. My back has changed the most. I've gone from a 34C to a 40C. Eek! I know that will go down as I lose weight but I'm dreading how saggy my boobs will be when I stop BFing!

Rex just had his first little bit of baby rice. He ate every little bit with hardly any mess!

Ah bless sazzle! Do you think he enjoyed it? I've got some rice here, but I'm too lazy to begin! Hope she's a good eater though!

I can't wait to lose the back fat! It isn't too bad but I notice it all the time, just when twisting and looking in mirror. I swear oh never gains weight. In the 6 years I've known him, he's always been a 34 waist in jeans, whereas I'm like a yoyo. Grr!

Off to isle of wight tomorrow but dreading the ferry ride  I'm not the best sea traveller! Never forget when I went to Thailand and did loads of island hopping. Even their small boats had me hurling over the edge!

actually, the smaller the boats make it worse. pray for a big boat!

My best physical feature is my big blue eyes. Everyone compliments on them and it looks like poppy has inherited them.

My best non physical feature is I'm approachable people always come to me in their hour of need or for advice :)

Dana's right, the smaller the boat the worse it is! I luckily don't get any motion sickness. I can read in the back seat of a car going down a windy road no problem. I can also handle pretty rough seas in a small charter boat. I have a cousin that can't even step foot on a boat without turning literally green.

Just remember to watch the horizon. That'll help your body recenter itself. I'm excited, I get to go on a ferry in about 10 days. I haven't been on one in so long, and never one this big, only ever a 2 car ferry across a river.

So I still feel like a broken record... I wish my baby would sleep! She wen to bed at 7 and woke at 8, 9, 11, 2, and 4. Then I just brought her to bed with me. I think she had gas again at the beginning of the night because at 9 I gave her simethicon and after that she slept better. I'm thinking about starting a food diary but it's going to require tons of tracking since she gets pumped milk during the day.

Her room at daycare is getting a new lead teacher on the 15th and I'm very excited. I like her current teacher but I think the new teacher will have things a little more structured and have activities. Also there's a new director and I love the changes she's made already. She's making it so the teachers are always in a certain room. Before they would rotate the assistant teachers. She's also willing to buy supplies that the rooms need. I was looking at buying a few things off craigslist to donate to the room because they needed them, like a double stroller, a swing, a pack n play. All of those could be bought for like $25 on craigslist.

Sazzle, did you record his first food? I'm thinking about it but our only video camera is on my digital camera. I'm glad Rex enjoyed his food!

cheese- that's how we've been taking all of abby's videos. the droid has a darn good camera on it so i'm fine with it. doesn't matter how it's captured, as long as you capture it.

Yeah I think he did enjoy it, Jakes! He swallowed it all anyway. I mixed it with EBM so it tasted familiar!

We recorded it on DH's phone, Cheese. And took loads of piccies! Another milestone!

Jakes you will have to wave to me accorss the solent!

I am in shock, the red arrow crash is literally a 5 minute walk from my house, it is where I went for all my walks during the time I was trying to get labour going. Bournemouth has had a tough week with flash floods and now this! I am so pleased he managed to miss the houses and the childrens play place that is literally another 5 min walk away

George has not slept all day fxd he sleeps tonight

x

Well- I'm making progress on the looking for a place front. I said my max was $700 but I just found a place that is $800 all utilities included. It's only a 1br but says it has a HUGE (caps in the ad lol) storage closet downstairs. I wonder if this storage closet will fit a baby crib lol. I'm going to look at it Tuesday night. Think happy thoughts for me on this one. I would really like living where it's located (even if it's father away from friends family than I was looking... it's still a good deal and I have friends in that area also).

Choco I just read that! So sad! What brave man - he.could've just ejected and let the plane crash into god knows what, but he actively steered it from harms way. The Red Arrows are amazing too. Such a sad loss, and even more close to home for you as it's where you walk!!
I think were going from Portsmouth, to fishbourne? I haven't a clue, OH booked it! But it's a large car ferry so shouldn't be too bad. But I've been on a large ferry to France, and that was swaying like mad and had me falling all over the place. We ended up in hysterics laughing as it was so funny!

I'm ok in the car though and other places. Just boats!

hope the place was lovely missfox!

jakes, fx'ed the boat doesn't make you too sick, remeber a bag just incase!

I'm with whoever said they liked their hands on physical features, got v long slim fingers and always strong long nails :). Weird how hands and feet can stay skinny even when the rest of you balloons out :haha:

i went to a friends surprise baby shower today, kinda made me sad at how quick alex is growing up, but at the same time relieved that real 'newborn' stage is over! :)

sazzle, glad rex liked his food! think we've decided to try alex with a bit next wkend when dh can also be around for the first 'meal' :)

I have long fingers but suddenly had a flashback to how swollen and uncomfortable they, and my feet, got! I was so miserable the last week of pregnancy!!!

So my stepdad went to the hospital with an ambulance today, had to have an emergency surgery right away, a big and risky one.
Thursday an abscess popped up under his hip , friday it had already doubled in size, today it was even bigger.. like 8 x 6 inch.
It was an abscess and also a flesh eating bacteria in it and they had to "flush" his lymph nodes too.
The surgery went well, has to be in Intensive Care tonight but he was doing well..
Tomorrow he has a CAT scan to see if that was the main problem or if it's something else like cancer, the surgeon said the chance is high it's cancer and this was just a bi product of it.
(he had been having health issues for 4 months but too stubborn to see a doc)
We'll see

Huge :hugs: Lilly. x

Jakes, my hands were the same the last couple of weeks. I had to take my wedding & engagement ring off cos it got so bad!
