For some apparent reason, every supermarket, pharmacy seem to be out of Aptamil First Ready to Use cartons????????
So 4 days ago we had to buy the powder formula and make the bottles up for our little girl......... She's been very sick since as in, not breaking wind as easy and tonight's been the worst, screaming in pain since 5ish.... tis breaking my heart seeing real tears..... her temperature is gone up and now she's only drinking an ounce an hour when usually every 3 hrs she'd drink 6 ounces  Can someone tell me is this coincidense OR does the cartons differ to the powder formula?????
My OH has just ordered 56 cartons of the ready made off the internet to make sure we don't run out in future......Thinking of going to the hospital I'm that worried please ladies any of you ever have your baby react like this?????????

it's possibly just conincidence. we've used both cartons and powdered aptamil since fin was born. i think it's just that your girl is young. a lot of babies seem to experience these symptoms around that time and as mums we're always searching for answers but i think their little digestive systems are just adjusting to being outside of you!! if that makes sense!

xx

For the first 6 weeks we used nothing but cartons and when we moved her onto the powedered formula she did go a bit strange and seemed in pain with bad wind. Phoebe was born with a lot of gas in her stomach though and we have always had problems when she feeds although it did seem a lot worse on aptimil. We changed to cow and gate and she is much better now.

Tesco usually have a huge stock of aptimil.

Hi please08, What you have written,i could have written exactly the same. Our local shops etc have run out and i had to use the powder too. My little boy was in pain, extreme wind, didnt want to burp, constipated then runny poos ect. I definitely put it down to me having to give him the powder formula for a day or so as as soon as i gave him the cartons again he was fine. can i ask, where did your oh order the cartons from? is it the actual aptamil website? xx

try usin infacol , to me it sounds lie a bit of colic, and windy pops, do u girls burp ur babies in the middle of a feed?

try infacol doesnt do any harm to the baby just brings their wind up a hell of alot better :D

Please08, hows your little girl?? Hope shes ok. What did they say was wrong with her? xx

Hi girls sorry only getting back to yee now :( Had the hardest few days ever My poor little girl went through the mill..... firstly had to have spinal tap, results came back all clear... her cells were supposed to be 5 but her's were 55 so they got really worried, in the end it boiled down to her having an infection so she's been on anti-biotic and she's doing so much better, 2mrw we get the last test results back and tis home sweet home for us then, we're hoping the infection is viral rather than bacterial, so fingers crossed xxx

Oh no, hope your little girl gets better soon :( that must be horrible for you all.

poor thing, hope she gets better soon xx

Thanks a mill girls, she's as bright as a button, got her glow back and mad smiling up at us, my poor princess went through so much, bruised from all the needles God love her BUT main thing is she's all better now xxxx Thanks again girlies xx
