are all of your piercings ok?

im worried i will have to take them out, obviously i will do the best for my unborn child, and take them out and get them re-done once i have had the baby.
three of my eighteen piercings are swollen and red but its only happened in the last few days, how about you???

Mine have all been ok so far (I have 9, Belly button and 8 on my ears)
I think I'm gona have to take out the belly button one when my belly gets too big or get a pregnancy one.
I would use some anti-bacterial stuff if they're sore and see if that works
if it doesn't within a week then take them out, but ask ur GP or MW, they will know what's best to do.

i had to cancel all my tattoo appointments, i work in a tattoo studio so the temptation is always there! lol
i wont be getting ne piercings ne time soon either! x

I´ve taken my nipple piercing out cos it was starting to hurt, but still got my belly button one in cos I´ve not started to show yet. Will take it out prob next month.

I've only got piercings in my ears but I would say that if your piercings are getting red and swollen you'll probably want to check with your doctor. I don't know that it will harm the baby but it could cause you plenty of discomfort.

I have half a tat which is getting mangled as we speak and the rest are getting bigger but piercings are all good apart from nipples as i grew to much to fast. still have one of my navel ones in from last time i was preggers and it survived it all Your skin will be super sensitive it should pass Anyone know if hospital will make you remove piercings erm... in the lady bits?

I just have my ears (3 in one, 2 in other) and toungue done. All are fine, I hope mine dont get sore because I dont want my toungue done again it hurt enough the first time. xxxxxxxxxxx

My belly button started getting sore about a week ago and my belly button was starting to push it up so I've had to take it out. It's well healed but the skin is looking thin so I might have to have it redone. I don't mind though because it's somehow addictive.

The whole has got really stretched and it itching now it's being pulled on.

my belly button is fine and im showing a bit. The Dr said get a flex one and i can keep it unless i have a section in which it needs to come out but then after the baby it can go back in.

Hi snugglemuffin- would ave thought they will make you take em out due to the risk of infection/ and in case of emergencies/ also as maybe could scratch baby on way out?? not 100 % tho. good luck

snugglemuffin - I'm pretty sure hospital will tell you to take your piercings out 'down there' just for the birth to make sure they don't get damaged, tear, infected or hurt the baby. I'd get plastic studs/cbr's etc to put in them once you start growing tummy wise because things tend to change elsewhere too
