are tesco indigestion tablets safe?

I hope so, I've been eating them like smarties!

It should say in the information that comes with them (either on the wrapper or as a separate leaflet if you got a box) whether or not it's safe to take in pregnancy? Otherwise do they have a pharmacy in your tesco? It's always best to check with the pharmacist before you buy if you're not sure.

it says check with doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant but last night i had such hb i just had one, I hope they are safe! i know rennie and gaviscon are ment to be ok, but no one mentions supermarket brands

yes they are absoulutely fine...if they are the sodium alginate ones and or the combined calcium carbonate ones..the ones that look like little chalk discs lol! These are absoulutely fine!! just dont eat more than the box says lol! My mw encouraged me to eatthem and said it was at least a good way of getting some calcium lol!!!
So long as it is those 2 ones they are fine, its the the tablets that are ranitidine that you need dr advice about first xxx

the box says its Calcium carbonate and also contains sucrose... so i guess that means safe! :D yay for no more heartburn:happydance:

the fruit flavoured ones you can have up to 7 a day (more like 7 an hour with me) the peppermint ones i asked a pharmacist as it didnt say in the leaflet and she said she wasnt allowed to say take them but she did throughout her pregnancy and was fine she sees nothing wrong with it but wasnt allowed to say yes (confused muxh?) i also asked a pharmasist about the boots ones and she said they are fine to take just dont take any other medication at the same time.

Why don't u ask ur midwife to give u gaviscon on perscription??? Don't have to buy anything then :) x
