Are there any early 40's ladies here??

Just wondered if there are any ladies of about this age on here and if they are on Clomid or not?? If so how are you getting on with it?? Or maybe you are having IUI, would be interesting to know!!!!

Me. I'm 40, on Clomid. I was already ovulating although my cycle was a bit unbalanced with a late Ovulation and short LP. My FS also seems to suspect mild PCOS, although my bloods don't seem to back that up

He has put me on Clomid - 100mg - to try and regulate it. So far its helped slightly, but hasn't got me pregnant. I've done 3 cycles so far, and am now on my 4th.

We already have one 2.5 yr daughter, and I've had 2 further pregnancies, prior to Clomid.....but I miscarried both.

Hi Lyns, so have they said how long they are going to keep you on clomid for? I have been told 6 months max, Im only on 50mg at the moment with my first cycle. My fs seems to think I stand a good chance even at my age, but Im not so convinced!!! Im hoping they will offer me IUI in a couple of months if nothing has happened as time is ticking by very fast now and this is my last chance!!

I do already have 4 children already the youngest being 13, so I am grateful for that, but sometimes life goes down a different route than you thought it would, partner has no children at all and we are so desperate to make this happen!!!

Well, he hasn't said to me, but a letter to my GP states he will not keep me on it over 12 months. To be honest I'm not sure i would go that long myself anyway, as I'm not exactly finding it a walk in the park.

I'm seeing him again at the end of the month to go through some more results from tests etc, so we'll see then.
