Hello, I was just wondering is there are any at all. I have autism myself that is why I'm asking.

Hi!

I am pretty sure that I have high fuctioning autism, but I don't have an offical diagnosis. Most of the signs are there, but back when I was a child there was no autism and I was simply labled a 'dolly daydream.'

My eldest daughter also has high fuctioning autism and many of the 'odd' things she does or have issues with mirrors a lot of my childhood.

I find social situtations with adults and even other people's children extremely difficult (but when i was younger I was simply told I was shy). However I have no issues bponding with my children.

Pretty sure I have ASD.. I have realized it more now as my 15 year old son and 3yr old daughter both have it diagnosed, as you get a lot of info - it has explained so much to me.. like why I was always a loner in school, my difficulties with friendships, my stubbornness that I am known for by my poor OH. My point of view which is hard for anyone to change, my lack of friends even now (by choice).
I also see now with my experiences with the kids that my father has also.

It has no impact on raising my children, I adore them , they are my world and I encourage them to have healthy friendships and interests.

I'm high functioning and so is my 15yr old, but my 3yr old daughter has a lot of issues, no speech, spinning, flapping, in her own world.. and she's in a special needs nursery every morning Mon-Fri for continuous assessment.

Oh yes. My dad has the same type of autism that I have and he was not diagnosed until 2 years ago when he was 37.
