Pretty sure I have ASD.. I have realized it more now as my 15 year old son and 3yr old daughter both have it diagnosed, as you get a lot of info - it has explained so much to me.. like why I was always a loner in school, my difficulties with friendships, my stubbornness that I am known for by my poor OH. My point of view which is hard for anyone to change, my lack of friends even now (by choice).
I also see now with my experiences with the kids that my father has also.
It has no impact on raising my children, I adore them , they are my world and I encourage them to have healthy friendships and interests.
I'm high functioning and so is my 15yr old, but my 3yr old daughter has a lot of issues, no speech, spinning, flapping, in her own world.. and she's in a special needs nursery every morning Mon-Fri for continuous assessment.
