Not everyone uses a base! Not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but when we first started using our Silver Cross seat, it seemed that the seatbelt was too short. When we looked in more depth, we were 'over egging' a little, and we didn't need to use as much of the belt as we originally thought... xxx

we had a problem with the car seat that came with our pram and it wouldnt fit in one of the cars (it didnt have a base) and we bought a separate seat to just stay in the car (it had a base its a Brittax First Class Plus from Mothercare.

We didnt want to use the seat belt extenders as Im not sure about what tension you can get with them and the safety aspect too. We have ours behind the seats Id read something on "Which" that this is the safest place for them to be too.

We do use the seat that came with the pram in the other car though and this doesnt have a base and seems fine xx
