Are you more fertile after giving birth?

Hi Ladies!

So, this is kind of a random question, but I was told that women are often more fertile after giving birth. Has anyone else heard this? Is it a scientific fact or an old wives' tale? I ask because my husband and I are ready to try to have another baby so I am curious. We lost ours at birth recently, and while we know that no baby can or will ever replace him (that isn't what we want at all!), we are ready to be parents. That's just where we are in our lives and our marriage..

I have heard this as well. Not sure if its a wives tale or not but a month after my miscarriage I was pregnant and I hear a lot of women getting pregant soon after giving birth.. Good luck
