Arrrrrggghhhhhhhhh!

Since 7am my 2 week old has only had a 1 and a half hour sleep, she has been from boob to boob the rest of the time and it's is 5.30pm!!! She has had a million yellow REALLY seedy poops today and keeps nodding off on my boob but as soon as I put her down she roots to be fed!

Normally she feeds every 2-3 hours during day and 3-4 hours at night. What if she does this all night? I'm already feeling totally drained! Aaaarrrrggghhhh is this normal? Will this feeding frenzy ever end? She's totally frantic and snorting away like little miss piggy!

This sounds like the infamous 2wk growth spurt I'm afraid... My health visitor has forewarned me and I'm awaiting the joys of cluster feeding myself.... Mine snorts when rooting too - amusing when not the middle of the night!
HV advised it usually lasts 48hrs and best thing is to go with it if your sanity allows. Good luck

Im worried she's gonna make herself poorly as surely all this milk can't fit in her tummy! I am sooooo glad I got a feeding pillow yesterday. I'm just really really hoping she has a sleep soon even for 1 hour so I can have a break!

sounds like she's pooing most of it straight out again! I think the main aim is to tell our boobs to produce more milk ready for the growth spurt. I feel your pain re: needing a rest though. Mine's just woken up snorting, in time for my dinner being ready!

Oh dear, I've told OH that he needs to go to shop and get me a through the night supply of chocolate, bless them the little snorting is cute, she's so silly when she gets frantic though, as if she hasn't fed for days or something. She's still on snuffling away, nearly 12 hours later.

Lol! Im with ya, DS has been stuck to me all day and night. I was about to say he'd gone 40mins without a feed earlier, then he woke up lol!!!

i could have written this!! I Have had this exact problem today- my LO is 12 days. hope its a growth spurt and is over soon! does anyone know how long it lasts?

My OH just took us for a drive and she fell asleep straight away, and I could have a nap in back seat, fingers crossed we all manage a few hours sleep tonight!

Take the opportunity to learn side lying nursing and get some rest it wont be forever.
