My doctor will be inducing me by breaking my water on Wednesday morning if little girl doesn't come before then. The doc and I discussed it and she knows how much I don't want pitocin (was induced that way last time) and that's why she will try breaking my water first. I know there is still a chance of being given pitocin but I'm hoping the membrane breaking will be enough. I'm 3cm, 50% and she's at -1 station with irregular contractions for the past week.

Any advice or experiences to share? I'm curious to know how this type of induction went for other women. Thanks:flower:

why are you being induced so early, if you don't mind me asking? have you tried a sweep?
From the sounds of it, you are becoming more favorable. My water broke on its own but after 5 days of prodromal labor I finally begun active labor after that and had my baby within 12 hours. The night before I was 4.5 cm but not sure how effaced when I was checked and sent home from the hospital. I had a posterior birth so everything took much longer than normal!

I've had sudden onset swelling that is unrelieved by elevating my feet as well as a 30mmHg jump in my blood pressure so the doctor is concerned pre-eclampsia may be starting.

Well I'd say it will go very well seeing that you are already dilated. You could try having sex a few times before because the semen will help to ripen your cervix even more. Good look hun, not long now and you'll be holding your little bundle of joy :D
