Arty thing to do with little ones

I am doing a sure start course at the moment and we did a great thing that i thought i would share with you all
We printed this poem out and then did painted hand prints on it ( i did 4 for me and grandparents LOL)
I think it is so sweet
So copy and paste away girls

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because i am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.

But every day I'm growing-
I'll be grown someday
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away.

So heres a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

Aww course you can do it with Rhys hun, he's nearly 1 now isn't he?
might take a bit of skill and prob best to sit him in high chair to do it

Practise with him on plain paper first i bet he will love it

yeah hes one in a few days but paint is for older kids isnt it? i looked in ELC to get some for christmas for him and it was like 3+?

Nah don't worry about the ages on paint
Its not like you are going to leave him alone with it
At the end of the day you are only gonna be painting his hands

Good idea with the curtain Jo! and id love to paint with Bethanie, but it's not my house.. so I think that one will have to wait. Bethanie's starting art classes in January though.

omg that is so sweet!! my mom is doing a thing of handprints for herself and my MIL and i am going to print that poem off and give to them both!!!

Also -we've done fingerpainting with Jackson as well. We did handprints and footprints and sent them overseas to his daddy(he is deployed) - who hung them up on the wall in his room )
