It is a philosophy of being attentive to your children. You take a more natural and peaceful approach to parenting. You do not let your children CIO and you do not spank. Instead you normally co-sleep and use gentle discipline. You also breastfeed and babywear to help have a strong bond. AP also goes hand in hand with natural parenting which is cloth diapers and all that other "crunchy" stuff
