Hello ladies, I just need a place to vent. Yesterday I was having a bad day as I had received AF yet again with every AF symptom you can imagine and to cheer me up, my husband put on Australia's funniest home videos that he had downloaded for me. I love my husband for that, so understand about comforting.

But once the show started, I instantly started crying. The show was a special baby shower edition for the host who was due in a few weeks and the crowd was filled with baby bumps. There was baby gifts, giveaways praising for all mothers to be ect. The host seemed to be very insensitive to infertility as she kept on doing the "it's so great to be a mom" my baby girl this, baby bump that, this baby bump there. I've met many pregnant women and some I can handle but some like her I just wanna throw out the window because they seem to be the first and only person to have ever become pregnant, the me me me expectations. It seems to me that people don't realize infertility is at an all time record as of late and people just seem to not care.

I am happy for her don't get me wrong, every pregnancy is a blessing but to make a whole show that is supposed to be about humor to cheer people up being simply about pregnancy everywhere? She would not stop rubbing her belly, and plus the "funny videos" consisted of baby bumps, babies and kids. My hubby and I have been TTC for the passed 3 years, we have literally a fairy tale marriage with no arguments at all for 4 years. I've been straightedge for 3 years, my husband for 24 years which means no smoking, no alcohol and no drugs/ But no money for IF nor the money to adopt. Anyways the whole show seemed so insensitive to the fact that there are people out there who can't conceive, and the show made it seem like that problem is non existent and I felt forgotten and alone while watching. I'm getting so sick of the topic of infertility being a taboo subject when us women AND men are out there suffering in silence! If you are expecting or are a parent, be proud but for the love of peace and man kind, be sensitive and watch what you say because weather they like to admit or not, us infertile couples are out there more than ever! thank you for letting me vent.
