Ava and Evan too similar?

Hi just after some opinions please My baby boy is due in less than a week and OH and I are really struggling to agree on names. One of the only names we both like is Evan but we already have a dd named Ava. OH can't see the problem with this but although I love both names my gut is telling me they're too similar and will sound silly together.

What do you all think? Feel like my baby will never have a name at this rate!

I really love those two names together! My DD's name is Ava and had I of thought of the name Evan I would of chosen the name for my son - they are perfect together.

-Claudine, Nadine and Justine

They sound good, although something draws me towards Ethan - not dissimilar to Evan but losing the V distinguishes the name from Ava completely.
