Avent microwave Steriliser

Does anyone know if you can use this without the blue tray inside it that you sit the bottles on? I want to take it abroad with me and I am trying to cut down the weight of my case!

I wouldn't have thought so. There needs to be space between the bottles and the water, so that the steam can circulate properly.

i dont no the answer but to cut down on weight why dont you invest in a few mam bottles, they can be sterilised by there self in the microwave, and the avent teats fit these if they dont like different teats.
