I see they come in newborn, slow, medium, fast and variflow

Its only been 2 yrs but ive 4got how u know when to move on to the next stage? Also why use variflow? Can they just be used at any stage?

They give a rough age guide on the teats (0+, 3+, 6+ months etc) but I think it depends on the baby too - Sam will still happily drink from the newborn or 3+ month ones, but is fine with the faster ones too. If they start getting frustrated with the flow speed and fussing during feeding then it's probably time to move up a stage but I'd just see how it goes when your baby is here :D If the flow is too fast for them you'll know as they'll struggle to keep up and tend to move their heads back away from the bottle.

The vari flow ones are supposed to allow your baby to control the flow more like they do when breastfeeding, and I think they're the 3+ month ones x

Boots own brand are pretty much the same and much cheaper as well.

Also meant to say that it'll also depend on the formula you use as some (I think) are thicker than others and might need a slightly faster flow teat x

i have had to use the variflow teats since jack was about a month old cos he was put on the cow and gate comfort milk which is thicker than the others :)
