Awful post man tampered with my mail.

My OH's xbox broke and I ordered a new part for it to be fixed that should've arrived Friday/Saturday. We use this for watching TV and DVDs as well as for games so it was needed quite urgently.

On Saturday my brother received a message from his friend who works at the post office asking if we were expecting a parcel and if our address was our address. I asked him to message him back saying yes to both.

Apparently some postman is adamant that we don't live where we do live and so has attempted to write another address on the label and send it back to sender. He never even attempted to send it. I had no card or anything. If it weren't for my brother's friend recognising my name we might not have had it. I'm so fuming. It's an illegal offence to tamper with someone's mail. I don't understand why this guy would risk his job without even checking!!! Safe to say I've put a complaint in about him and I may be entitled to compensation for it but all I care is that this idiot gets put in his place as not only did he mess up by tampering with my mail but then tried to get my brother's friend in trouble at work by saying he was harrassing him just because he was sticking up for me.

You know whats really crappy - this is SUPER common at xmas time! I stuck stickes or wrote over the bits you'd open just so the reciepents would know if its been tampered with.

I never got any of my post over Christmas, I kept getting everyone else's though. I too filed a complaint. They are pathetic!
