For those who have given birth already were your babies quiet or active before going into labour. My LO has been very very active for about a week, don't know what to make of this.

Anyone had the same??

This will be my first and I'm only at 30 weeks, but everything I've heard says that baby is supposed to be just as active as usual right up until delivery. We have special notices from our health advisors that remind pregnant women that if your babies movements quiet down right before labour, that is not normal.

Sorry for the rant!! I know everyone is different, and have heard lots of different stories, just wanted to be sure to pass on what I learned, thats' all! :)

I was also gonna post this :) I'm due the same time as you...and my LO is very active aswell, sometimes it feels like he is gonna kick his way out.

Mines so active it hurts, and wonder if theres going to be enough room in there to last another week! It really feels like it could happen anytime now, but all Im getting is the false labour pains, loads of braxton hicks, period pain type cramps.

I'm not 100% sure lol I'm 8 days over due and i've found last few weeks hes been alot more active than usual but I'm not sure about activity before going into labour

Mine is very active at the moment. She is actually hurting
me a bit for the first time recently! :-)

My LO has been very active this week too, particularly today. I've heard that they go quiet before labour starts but I don't know if that's true or just hearsay. Hopefully we'll all find out soon! xx

Mines been a bit more active for the past 2-3 weeks now. I think the only reason people might think they slow down is that it feels really different when the baby goes from being back to back to being back out (which is a better position for labour). Mine spends 80-90% of it's time in the 'right' position (not engaged yet :( )and I can still feel it wiggling around in there, it's just way different than if it was poking feet out.

My baby has been more active than ever this last week but I still have three wks to go!

I'm also wondering how much room is left as it doesn't feel like any! The movements are really starting to hurt now too!

Saying that, my mum said baby is supposed to be quieter with movements right before labour?!

Well i read babies movements supposed to slow down because they ran out of room, but mines been more active than ever recently, its uncomfortable because he has no room for all this moving but hes not letting that stop him lol

if i remember back to my first baby i didnt feel him when i was in labour x

My baby has been a lot more active recently. The movements are so big and uncomfortable that I hate when she moves lol...it hurts so bad, I just want it to end haha.

Thanks ladies, seems everyone is experiencing the same which is good, perhaps I'm just noticing the movement more because bubs is so big now and ANY movement is sore.

Had what I think were some false labour pains last night, started with pain in the back radiatig round the sides to bump and 12 mins apart then I fell asleep! I feel just fine this morning. Back to the guessing game I think....

My obygn said that babies movements should not change before labor and that if they get quieter you should be checked out no matter what stage you're at.

My LO never stopped been active even after my waters broke and was in labour at hospital ,i still got kicked and punched loads lol.
