Hi all my last few posts have not recieved many replies so I thought I would post this in a few forums. Sorry if you come across this more than once.
I have recently suffured an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube and i had to have emergency surgery where they removed my left tube. I am so scared about trying again and will try anything that might help me get that baby in to the right place. I have notied a few people mention taking baby asparin whilst ttc. I have tried to search for threads of this but i cant seem to find any information about this. Please, if anyone has any information on this could you please share it.

Thank you.

Love L.

Hi :flower:

There is a thread somewhere in the forum called (I think) the apririn thread.

https://www.babyandbump.com/ttc-after-loss/556773-asprin-thread.html

Anyway, I'm not an expert but as I understand it baby aspirin can sometimes help prevent a miscarriage. It is usually only prescribed if you have a clotting disorder I believe but some women take it with their prenatal vitamins as a precautionary measure.
Aspirin thins the blood so it can help blood flow to the uterus - which is good for baby obviously. It can also prevent clotting which can be a cause of early miscarriage.

I hope that helps.... :hugs:

Hi hun!!

Ive started taking it this cycle just because of what ive read about it possibly preventing miscarriages. From what ive read baby aspirin is supposed to help the blood flow from the uterus lining through the placenta. The blood not flowing properly has been linked to miscarriages so many people ttc take a daily low dose aspirin in help. Apparently its ok to take whilst pregnant so many doctors tell people who have had multiple miscarriages to take it. I already feel im taking loads of stuff (pregnacare conception and agnus castus) so dont want to overload my body so thought id just take it every other day!

Good luck hun!!

Thanks for the good information, I was curious about this too.

Hi Teigan Max
I was also curious when I was ttc after a mmc about the positive effects of 75mg aspirin.
As soon as I got my BFP I started taking it. Then when Is aw my dr about a week later she was not sure so I stopped. Then I had an early scan at 6wks and the EPAU consultant advised me that there were no side effects and many eminient drs in the UK recommend it for women who have had mulitple mcs. She said it was up to me as she could not prescribe until I had 3 mc. Anyway started taking it again, and at my midwife appt she said it was a good idea to take it and to keep taking it until very close to the birth.

My opinion is that it has no side effects, means you are doing something to prevent a loss (if its down to clotting)...but it's totally YOUR choice if it is not prescribed. I have had support from all my health professionals so I don't feel like I am doing anything I shouldn't. Hope that helps and hope to see you over in PAL soon hon xx

I have a clotting problem and amongst other things take aspirin. However, I was advised by all of my specialists (I have accumulated a few by now  ) to only start with a bfp because it can interfere with ovulation and implantation.
